It’s worth mentioning when calling for forum improvements that Blizzard bought this forum software from the lowest bidder and has relatively little control over it as far as features and programming goes.

When they are rooted in general consensus, ambiguity doesn’t allow for loopholes. But rigidity does. This isn’t debatable. If it was then sites like these forums would have the most harshest rules in the world, and no forum really has 'em.

Take it or leave it. These are Blizzard’s forums, and they only moderate the things that gets reported. If people think it is reportable, folks report it - first and only then does Blizzard check it against their own policies.

You kinda have to make this assumption or else nothing else of what you say makes any sense. No, they just can’t make drastic changes to the forum software. Like, for example, adding likes and dislikes as a feature.

Forums unironically got more interesting than mythic+
They do it because there’s clearly no consequences. They waste moderator time, they risk the posting privileges of posters who have broken no forum rules and . . . they’re just allowed to keep doing it. They’re literally trying to get people banned from here but they get to go on posting. It’s like if there was no punishment for swatting.

They have discords where they try to get people to report others? How sad is that imagine being bothered so much by a post on a gaming forum you get your discord buddies to report it

I’ve heard of discords specifically made for this purpose but have not seen them myself. With what I’ve seen on Blizzard forums, I wouldn’t be surprised in the very least.

it’s generally pretty easy to tell why things get flagged, and it’s usually always a glaring violation… even if it’s one you’re not familiar with.
