I do not want any forum enemies. I will start giving cookies like that gnome maybe lol. Maybe he is on to something. But not to copy and make him my enemy I will give cats instead.

Echo chamber effect.
I am allergic to cats though, so I guess we are mortal enemies now.
Some people like to be involved in the drama. I won’t lie — I love to read the drama.
Depends if the disagreement is on equal terms, or is a matter of bigotry.
I can’t agree to disagree with someone who sees me as less than human, and this forum has, erm, a more than normal concentration of misogynists and proto-fascists.
Tribalism at its most human levels.
In all honesty, It’s Human nature in some people they have to be right no matter what, even if they are in the wrong or don’t like what was said by a certain person.
Everyone have that different viewpoint based on how they were raised, how they see society in their eyes. Even outside the game there are people who only think they are in the right or their statements are correct and what ever someone else said (even in the past) is always wrong. It’s a cycle we just can’t rid ourselves of.
It’s getting harder and harder to hold grudges as I get older, I just can’t remember who I was arguing with.
I’m not personally at war with anybody, but there are some posters that start with zero credibility until I read the post. All to often the zero doesn’t change though. On a somewhat side note, I find myself abandoning more and more messages prior to posting them as time progresses.
I disagree.

I would love to see less hostility on the forums, but it’s a mirror of how developers treated players in the past, so it’s not surprising that things are in their current state.
Tarc is my mortal enemy.
Which is a mirror for how the players treated devs. Everyone is responsible. There is no good side and bad side.
Just one man’s theory. Anonymity over the internet gives people a safe avenue to express their worse sides, often their true selves. Of course there are exceptions, but the average WoW player is prob not killing it in RL.(I work at Walmart) So, you take a bunch of unsatisfied people, who never get the chance to express their dark sides in RL, because nerds are bad at fighting and give them a safe place to vent, then…… Viola, Internet forums!!
The difference is one side is getting paid by the other. The leaks from the private testing forums where devs absolutely ridiculed constructive feedback is what sticks in my mind.
You don’t get to treat people like garbage just because you pay them. Nothing entitles you to be disrespectful.
I’m not saying it should happen, I’m saying that’s why it happens, and I’m thinking back to when devs trashed people on private feedback forums a while ago.
I don’t think there is any question why that happens. My point was until both sides make an effort to be kinder, nothing is going to change. If we want them to start posting more, the change is likely going to have to start with us… and we are nowhere near ready for that.
