PVEers only like to do the same fight over and over and over again.
PVPers like the exciting, dynamic, changing aspects of battleground where the tide can turn at any moment
PVP>PVE
I agree with gear differences in arena. Iâve always been of the belief that there should be zero gear in rated arena. That aspect of the game should be 100% about skill not you win because youâre 483 with empowered gush and double 475 lash and you just sit on one target all game doing unhealable damage. That is toxic for the game and makes for the garbage state that pvp is currently in.
As far as nzoth not making mistakesâŠI would say that ADDS an element of skill to pvp that pve doesnât have. Nzoth doesnât make mistakes which means you donât need to exercise any awareness of ingenuity in realizing said mistake and knowing how and when to take advantage of it. I canât tell you how many people I play with that fail to recognize said mistakesâŠand there are even more players that can SEE mistakes but donât know how to capitolize. This phenomenon ADDS skill cap; not diminish it.
Itâs an argument, but not necessarily correct.
There are chess programs now that can be set not to randomize their moves. They are 100% predictable and yet no human can even come close to beating them.
Predictable is not the same thing as easy. Iâm just pointing out that reasonable arguments can be made on both sides of the question.
Added reason as a PvEer this particular mentality just comes across as brain-dead anti-social.
I just donât find PvP fun. Fine for others, but not for me.
That kind of constant bashing of pve players certainly doesnât help encourage pve players to try it. And thatâs a mild example of the commentary they dish at pve players.
Now, PvE players can be just as nasty. Iâve seen comments comparing pvp players to being one step away from real life murderers. Thatâs just not kosher. There are many truly nice and awesome pvp players. But it seems the jerks among them stand out far more than jerks among the pve community.
Yea, Iâm a little salty. Wow is heavily PVE based, and with each expansion blizzard seems to cut more from PVP and add more to PVE.
Play what you want. All my comment was, was my snarky take on why i prefer PVP
Yeah I gotta get my brother involved and just do a couple rated matches I guess. Just from doing skirmishes Iâm surprisingly not the best but not the absolute worst either, I personally feel sketchy queuing at 446 but apparently more people than I expected are cool with going in even lower than that.
Hi Cornelius, just wanted to say OOOOF WOW your profile is so HOT!
blows kiss
Itâs not that I donât like PvP, I just burned myself out on it. I still do it, just a lot more casually now.
pvp scaling is stupid
Well for one, PvP is in a very bad state.
Historically i am a PvP player, but since Legion PvP has been in such a bad state that i havent even touched it.
WoW PvE and WoW PvP are also like two completely different games/worlds.
If you grew up as a PvPer in early itterations of WoW, thats your comfort zone, and its where your muscle memory and strategy is strong.
And the same applies to PvE.
Some people do both.
But many do not.
PvP also has more personal equipment demands than PvE does.
youâll need a high end mouse that you can bind quick-react abilities to like CC/interupts.
Youâll need a headset and be willing to communicate with people.(this is the big one, since half the WoW population is afraid of socializing.)
i guess thats it, but still.
I play to relax, not to get riled up. PvP raises the intensity of the game beyond what I enjoy.
only when i pvp do i get so hot in the head, angry and bitter and spiteful and out of control with my emotions. i think thats what everyone on alliance feels
- Because I suck at it
- I am old and cant react like I did in my 40s
- I play this game for its RPG elements. Having extra people around to watch is fun.
- I donât like competition in video games.

Letâs fight!
Spends the next 8 minutes chasing a druid around a pillar/box.
When do we fight again?
Mostly this. I suck as a tank and as a healer too, so I donât play those either.
And, to add to this getting screamed at by a person who has the balls to be brave behind anonymity, but probably weighs 90 lbs soaking weight (or 600 lbs. in a desert) is not something I enjoy.
This is what stopped me from PvPing after Arena in TBC.
The only saving grace I have is I like to heal. It gives me something to do if I am in an instanced PvP (I donât do wPvP - ever. Ill log first)
Same reason PvPers donât like PvE.
