Why do players insist on making changes?

I came to TBC expecting no dark portal pass or boosts. Yet that change happened. Hardly anyone quit over that fundamental change to tbc. Why be against a purely positive change to the game then?

Of course I would prefer not to have the boosts and store mounts, because I think they de-value achievements in the game also. While you may think dual spec is a positive change not everyone agrees.

Explain to me the negatives of dual spec or free faction changes.

its not the game as it is…
it already has some changes.

There is no need to explain myself. I’m not the one asking for even more changes. How I deal with what is would be none of your business. When I’ve had enough, I leave. When it happens you won’t see a post. Blizzard leaves us the opinion to directly leave an opinion. Enjoy the gold grind little gnome, it’s way easier than it was in Classic.

I said it earlier, but dual spec de-values character identity. I haven’t thought about free faction changes, it’s not ideal because Blizzard should have had mechanisms in place to prevent overpopulation way back in vanilla, but they have never done anything about it and I don’t think there are any signs of that changing.

I would like to see the votes totals with each account that had logged into Retail in the past 90 days filtered out.

I don’t know, but here are some guesses:

  1. They think they are “special snowflakes” and more important than millions of other people and what THOSE people want
  2. Their professors told them they can force anyone in authority to do what they demand, just by “protesting” loudly enough
  3. They ignore Blizzard and believe they personally OWN the game, and can turn it into anything they want.
  4. They are high on illegal drugs, and do silly things
  5. They are stuck at 4 years old. They don’t think. They just say “I want” and “give me” endlessly.

Maybe not good guesses…but like I say, I simply cannot imagine it. Who sets up a checkerboard then says “but I want to be able to move TWO checkers each turn”. Why even play the game, if you demand it be changed?

This doesn’t mean “It MUST have countless OTHER improvements”.

An imperfect copy is still a copy. It isn’t suddenly something brand new and totally changable, just because it’s imperfect.

If you count every detail and every feature, TBCC is 99.7% the same as The Burning Crusade was. Just because it is 0.3% different DOES NOT change that.

Because we’re paying customers with opinions.

You might do it with the same spec, but there are several specs that are unplayable mixed wise.

I doubt that a raid guild that wants to progress will take a sl/sl lock, a dreamstate druid, a sub rogue, etc. with them. Why? Because it’s per default 25%+++ less damage and the utility they bring with them (more tankyness, better cc, …) doesn’t help them in 99% of the boss fights.

So don’t take your handling as the default one. When you think your spec is doing great in both, I am happy for you, but that is deffo not the case for everyone.

Maybe when players come back and they see all the WTS/Boost spam in chat they realize this isn’t the game they remember?

Game already has seal of blood change please add Battle of Drazar Alor and increase level cap to 120 thx kbyeeeeeee

Free faction changes to fix balance will not help vindictive tribalistic vibeo gane players. Remember phase blue!

The boosts let a lot of Retail players play classic without the leveling to filter them, the forums endless requests for retail QOL changes is the result.

You think you do, but you don’t.

What progress? Every single boss is going to roll over and die until MAYBE sunwell. don’t play with min-maxy nerds when you could theoretically full clear kara with 6 sub rogues as your dps.

I played both of my characters from 1-70 and I am still asking for dual spec, so your arguments doesn’t fit with reality.

And if we take into consideration how many people are asking for a change, we could expect the realms would be empty without them. So based on your logic, the retail players allow you to play TBC, as they are filling the realms.

Wondering if you guess press the start button of your head before posting?!

That’s what happens if up come up with old mechanics and let it people play, that have 15 more years of experience vs such game mechanics, who also have cleared the content quite a few times in the past.

But since everyone is rolling over the bosses, it’s actually another point to implement dual spec. Otherwise they will just roll over all the bosses within 3 hours a week and log of the rest of the time, playing something different. Sounds like the realms are empty soon.

My argument wasn’t that everyone requesting changes is a retail player. It’s just that the volume of changes requested has exponentially increased since they have. I don’t agree at all that realms would be empty without them. A lot of loud players on the forums doesn’t equate to the entire playerbase, it may seem like it though with the volume.

Its a point that you don’t need dual spec.

Also, I’ve said this in a million other posts, 50(g) is absolutely nothing in the modern game economy, you can farm 50(g) in less than 30 minutes. Hell I can farm 50(g) in 15 minutes.

If 15 minutes is to much of an imposition to ask of a player to enjoy the way they want to play, then you don’t deserve to play the way you want to play.
