Why do people want complexity and not simplicity for mage?

And conversely the GG wow spec ease tier list puts fire, arcane, and aff lock as the hardest ranged specs to play. Obviously subjective but was done by people with plenty of experience

Edit: not in disagreement with the above, but to say that mage rn could, broadly, be considered easy to play but hard to ‘master’
