Why do people think naxx gear is so powerful and OP for PvP?

damage scales waaaaaaay more than HP.

PVP past BWL gets stupid cause you can just destroy people so easily. Everyone becomes a glass cannon.

LOL? and? how are you this braindead? obviously im not gonna count 6 pieces of something vs NINE of something else??? You can replace those other 3 pieces with similar ones from BWL and achieve more HP still.

The posters writing that the higher rank PvP gear is worthless aren’t really speaking for all the classes and specs. In most cases, they are wrong. Maybe they are trying to thin out the competition?

LOLOL!!! I can do more damage RIGHT NOW with my rogue if I get lucky rolls! I litearlly do this to warlocks RIGHT now iwth my rank 10 gear and perds. He crit everything evne evisc, if I do that on my rogue with freaking dungeon gear I will achieve the same result! HAHAHAH

OP is right

Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!

yeah but naxx gear is possibly the ugliest set of armor in the entire game for warlocks, and being stronger isn’t as important as looking cool

trust me, play with gear you think looks good. Gear doesn’t matter its mostly cosmetic.

I completely disagree with that, but it’s all cool because I’m never gonna see Naxx gear for myself anyway.

Well looking cool makes you better at pvp.

Either way there wasn’t much nax gear players when I played classic, but aq gear warriors were very strong,
But beyond that things should be almost even with pvp gear and higher raid tiers.

But I believe nax gear is like equivalent to death knight starting blue gear but I can’t remember, but I do remember it lasting all the way up to level 70+. Green tbc gear made it easier for people to 1v1 dks in 50-59 brackets but well idk I guess we will see.

imo t1 looks the best by a long shot but I’ve found that as long as I hide the helmet t2 honestly ain’t so bad either. AQ lock gear is pretty nice too but I don’t like anything else offered to us; Naxx is way too bright and it’s a shame because green is an underappreciated warlock color, and then everything afterwards is overly edgy

no 5% crit, hit doesnt matter for pvp, 100 or less spellpower, and “stamford” doesnt matter at all, BTW the stamina on naxx gear is quite low, blue PvP gear has more stam.

Tier 8 (both colors) is probably my all-time favorite-- likely goes in the “too edgy” category.

Looking at the sets I would say depends on the class and spec in question, most are pretty close. but weapons, weapons are a whole different animal with most of the weapons in naxx being absurdly superior to the HWL/GM weapons.

Example:
High Warlord’s Greatsword - 77.4dps (3.80 speed), 26str, 41stam 1% crit
vs
Severence (2h axe from patchwerk) - 81.8dps (3.60 speed), 42str, 18stam, 2%crit
or
Might of Menethil (Kel’thuzad drop, so less likely to be seen) - 95.3dps (3.80 speed), 20str, 46stam, 2% crit.

how is 4 dps a huge difference? that is nothing lol. Only MoM is slight difference that u might notice, not really.

/cinemasinslaugh

Might of Menethil is also a mace, so for warriors that gets even more ridiculous.

really? 5% crit gona win you ur matches? it wont at all lmao.

I would prefer the best gear I can get. And yes crit matters as does spell power and stam and int for a Mage. That said, pvp blues are damn good for pvp. You will be competitive in group pvp with that set.
