Granted you said on your shaman. However, looking at the toon you posted on you have a level 5 cloak which means no corruption. You can not see cloaks and corruption in queue or R-io. I wish so badly there was a function to kick people in randoms for this same reason. I will not reward laziness. I am not suggesting this is you. I am simply saying.
I guess I should say that I did not scroll through the whole chat and someone else might have already said what I did in one way or another.
I’m not decked out on Ineffibles, correct, but I can clear 15s just fine on my HPal, which is all I intend and want to do.
I… also have four pieces with corruption.
You’re not rewarding laziness by inviting me just because I haven’t grinded out my cloak to max out ineffibles, because I don’t need to do that in order to clear the content I want to just fine.
How often does it happen?
I myself often feel this way. One thing going wrong can make 5 good things disappear.
If it happened consistently it might be because there is something people are really turned off by when looking at your gear or even talents and essences.
In reality, its probably a bunch of disconnected events.
They may have had a healer they prefer log on, found a better comp, or even just decided to disband the group and start over.
Your character is judged not by how you treat those who are of value or need to you, but the treat of others who bear absolutely no consequence on your life.
It’s easy to be kind to someone when you want something or because it benefits you, but to simply be good to others because it is the right thing to do shows actual strength of character.
Oh I feel that. I’ve actually been really lucky the past couple of days, but I’m convinced I may not get into these last 4 15s at all. Can’t seem to get a group to take me. ;-;
This actually happens a lot. Sometimes I do it. Sometimes it happens to me. When it happens to me, its because they thought I was a fire mage 95pct of the time, and some huge mage applied is the reason the other 5pct of the time.
When I do it, its because something came up in queue, typically involving a tank duo with someone. Usually just some overqualified candidate, more or less.
Then the other reason I see it happen commonly is because of things like enchants and gems. If you have any rank 2 essences on, that’s no bueno. or not much corruption, or bad corruption, etc
Why would you do it to a mistweaver? Because our damage output isn’t amazing? We have a great healing kit for m+ outside of a decent external cd. Why do you think mistweaver was the second best chosen healer for the mdi? Our group healing is good and our single target burst healing is even better. Even on the worst affix weeks we still manage just fine.
Granted I’m super casual, sticking to 10s-15s but I mained mistweaver all xpac and only struggled a little as I was gearing up.
From a purely utilitarian point of view, inviting you instantly and then checking you out makes sure you don’t take a different invite while I am doing so. If I check your logs first, you might go do something else.
This is going to sound mean, but if it takes you 10-15 minutes to find a group as a healer, data must indicate you aren’t very good. The leader was giving you a chance and I’d bet money that someone else complained about it.
If you want a more specific explanation, give the name of your shaman.
Person face to face, person over a phone, person over a computer, person over a gaming interface why do we need to drop our humanity?
That exact mentality is why the internet is a toxic place to be.
Being toxic also doesn’t help when downing content, anyone who is actually serious about progressing will integrate themselves into communities that push difficult content and maintaining those relationships means not being a subpar human.
Sure you can maintain those ideals in the PuG world restrained by PuG limits but why would you want to keep yourself in that barrel?
Because being nice to random players doesn’t down content. I’m not sure how else to put it.
I didn’t say anything about being toxic. I don’t invite a pug to a group to help him out, I invite a pug to a group to fill a spot and help the group out. If he isn’t capable of doing his part then he’s gone, if I find someone who is more capable then he’s gone before the run starts. That’s not being toxic, that’s being smart. My time and my groups time is more important to me than the time of some random in the group finder.
This is gonna sound lame, but is it usually when you join a full group, or is it just you and the leader, or maybe 1 other person?
Cuz I’ll admit sometimes I’ll start a group in the finder for my key, invite a person or 2, and then get bored of waiting for the group to fill and I just drop it and try again later.
I’ve posted it elsewhere in the thread, but I’ve also acknowledged that I pretty much have no blame for people who would decline my shaman. It’s the invite and then removal within 10 seconds of joining that has weirded me out, not the declining.
Though I would like to know why my hpal here is struggling so much. I have a good guess it’s my low completions on SOTS and AD, but I’ve gotten instant declines for 12s, 14s, and 15s. I have pretty mediocre logs from Post-Nerf I Nya, but I really doubt that’s something people are actually widely checking, though maybe I’m wrong.
Regardless, I don’t think I’ve got data for Erenna here that shows I’m too terrible to even give a shot with, but tell me what you think, I guess.
