Daily and weekly outrage topics have been a thing for a handful of years now, most popular streamers stay afloat by jumping on the outrage topics.
Depending on who you offend you can get a 1,000 year ban rather quickly. Iâve seen it happen to a number of people in the last couple years.
Because itâs east pickings around here. Post a lore discussion and you get a half dozen replies. Post about something being too âwokeâ or not enough and you get 500 replies.
We reply to them because weâre stupid.
They keep posting because the mods are useless and donât ban them.
Because there are far too many horrid ideas.
Blizzard made the mistake of listening to these horrid ideas (specifically giving casuals epics, otherwise they threatened to leave - they got the epics and still left).
And I post here to remind anyone who stumbles on my posts; your ideas (in the form of complainants, suggestions, etc) are horrid.
Yeah, you can watch some calm gameplay WoW streamers that just play this silly game and stream it while providing class advice, or you can find the kooky popular folks, Bellular, Asmongold, Taliesin, Hazel - these are all the doomsayers that repeat the drama from the forums. 10x as popular? A hundred times? Doesnât matter how nice some of them seem, they are only here to collect likes through exploitative content.
Nerf this, nerf that, Ion is the illegitimate son of a draenei goat lover, the new mount is unfair to blood elves! Rage gets the clicks, and as long as you avoid political and race issues, we eat it up.

Generates attention. Some people desperately need attention, even if itâs negative. Any attention at all just feels good to some.
The rage bait posts are made by Blizzard employees. More posts = more Google brownie points. When the forum is quiet, WoW slides in the search rankings. Nothings gets the posts rolling like a hot take. Troll threads are SEO.
