I hate to beat this drum more, but I lowkey feel like this was again because Blizzard doesn’t care for the Gilneans/Worgen as a race, and want them to be nothing more than Stormwind Humans but with the worgen curse. Drustvar felt like an entire zone that is just Gilneas themes that they stole and gave to the Kul’Tirans because they are regular humans, I really feel like Blizzard doesn’t know what they want to do with worgen since introducing them.
I was disappointed when worgen were first released and their druid forms were so generic. I actually thought the wickerman aesthetic would have fit great for them. Now years later they give that aesthetic to the maritime themed humans for reasons.

Especially since once the Gilneans joined the Alliance it was them that were a big part of Hallow’s End and the Wickerman ceremony and Genn giving the speech.
I don’t know man, I just feel like the Gilneans got completely ripped off by the Kul’Tirans in so many ways.
Because he’s been kicked around by life so much it made him really grumpy.

I went “oh I saw a silly model mock-up of that, I’ll go google ‘fat worgen’ real quick” and HOO BOY was that a mistake.
