and you figure its only when you run another character thru. Its something like an hour or so, if memory serves. not a huge deal unless youre literally leveling up dozens of characters.

It gets a bit tired after a few times. I have only done it twice and am not looking forward to another 30 some odd rehashes.
Got me thinking though. Why didnât they ever add a skip for warlords?

I thought they did but WAY too late.
Warlords was the expansion where the devs met the players for the first time about half way through the expansion. They were genuinely surprised that people were as upset as they were about no flying ever. Similarly, they seemed surprised that repeating the intro over and over wasnât that exciting for many players.
And on top of that they were scrambling a bit to manage the existing content. Issues getting the garrisons to work tanked a lot of other development for the expansion, and they continued to be plagued with problems there for the first several weeks of the expansion. So fixing the intro to add a skip was not even close to the biggest fire they had to put out.
Warlords of Draenor was a dark time. We try not to talk about it.

Because I already did it on 8 toons and I donât want to run back and forth doing it a bunch more times because I already know whatâs going to happen.

What?! Jade Forest is often cited as a well-liked area. You were thrown right into questing and there was a variety to the quests, you met important new races and NPCs, and the writing is hilarious. Plus it is a gorgeous area! And I have to sayâŚthose giant snakes were scarier than the baddies in the maw. I had never seen anything like the giant snakes in Jade Forest and the unknown is scary.
Itâs annoying & the reason Iâve only bothered to bring one of my alts to Shadowlands. Really canât wait for the âIâve heard this story beforeâ option.

Never said it was, but itâs easy and nowhere near as long or tedious as people make it sound like.
By who? I absolutely hated it on every character. I did the forced intro with the sha at the beginning and then ran to Krasarang Wilds every single time.
Iâm pretty sure they never added one. I leveled a character through it a month ago and still had to do the whole thing. People are mentioning a skip through a cave in Timeless Isle but Iâve never heard of it.
Because itâs trash.

I VASTLY prefer the WoD intro to the Maw one. You are not forced to listen to the dialogue, therefore you can progress as fast as you can kill things along with being able to use mounts. Itâs gives enough xp and is short enough that Iâve done it on all the characters Iâve lvled recently.
Also I canât draw a giant phallic shaped object out of oil then light it on fire in the Maw, so checkmate.
Almost an hour is long especially on alts.
Only things you canât skip are the helm pieces part (though if you place the pieces fast enough, itâll skip part of what Bolvar is saying) and Jainaâs speech (which honestly should be skippable).

Thatâs the thing though. Iâve heard the exposition once, I really donât want to hear it again. I just end up going afk for a good bit of the maw intro and thatâs not exactly something game designers should see as fine.

yes. the maw is the worst thing they ever put in a game in the history of gaming.
I mean, you could say the same thing about flight paths.

It was cool the first time.
Now I just want through it so I can actually play the game.
The only good thing about the maw intro is the fact you can get a level from it if you use warmode since leveling through it is 100% faction conflict free.
Thats why and its mind numbling horrid.
