I want the answer to the question I just posed.
Maybe you can answer it too?

I don’t play holy, I’m a tank main with currently a horribly outdated ret gear set.
Awakening is a thing, you build holy power far faster and can spend it on more lods / wogs (and with lightsmith this is more beneficial), judgment will be affected by crusader’s cooldown reduction as well which means more potential healing from lightsmith’s crit judgement heal, seal of the crusader, golden path / seal of mercy, veneration (and you have more judgement casts now too), power of the silver hand buffed up holy shocks, and if all else fails I can always just… push holy light?
So going through all that, could net you a second use within a min. (I doubt a third.)
That’s still a lot of time.
And that’s dependent on Avenging Crusader being better.
Not only is AC being buffed, but lightsmith has a talent that makes your crusader strike do double damage after using a hopo spender. 3 casts of this buffed up crusader strike (with my current stats at 515 ilvl) is a little over a million healing with the new AC scaling and buffed up crusader strike. And in the time it takes you to cast two infusion buffed holy lights (which do 150% healing in TWW instead of generating more hopo), which comes out at ~900k healing, you get almost 4 casts of crusader strike. After those two casts, you do way more healing in a short amount of time.
The caster build may have more sustained healing, but I don’t have beta access os haven’t tested it. Just crunching numbers on what I can.
And it’s not like I have zero healing outside of AC.
I think this contributes to why it’s so poorly received. For people that have done the numbers, it could’ve been apparent, that it’s not remotely close.
And just looking at an M Fyrakk talent build, awakening is not taken.
Good thing most fights have damage on a fairly consistent schedule and you can plan AC /awakening bursts around them. The rot damage is easily managed with just lod spam or the itty bitty heal on lightforged blessing.
People will generalize a population based on their media experience regarding that group, but then fail to comprehend the logical group identity regarding voluntary positioning of the self.
Trying to decipher everybody’s intentions sounds exhausting, probably why most people don’t volunteer to be police officers, would probably be hard if your first response to a stabbing victim was that they’re scum, even harder if you lack the capability to question your initial judgement.
I made a talent setup and was struggling in S4 M+, so I went asking for advice. They told me not to run AC, veneration, seal of the crusader or any of those talents. They told me not to, I said I wanted to anyway. They talked smack to me a bit then told me not to talk about that build in the “serious” channel, and to not advise it to anyone in other channels.
I bolded this part, because I think it ties into here:

What you think might work, might not given historical performance.
That’s why police officers are partnered up even more so if they’re a new addition to the force. They don’t just throw noobies to the sharks and hope they swim.
Yeah 'cause I was running things like overflowing light and didn’t have double beacons or any of that. Got rid of some talents that weren’t giving me much throughput or doing much good, and tailored my build more specifically to how I wanted to play.
Also figured out that throughput trinkets like Kyrakka’s are kinda not good.
Now it works fine.
Now, you just have to play at a level where healing matters.

QE live could’ve helped with the healing aspect. And everyone wants tome for dps.
I did, and I outperformed people with more gear and experience than me.
And I like actually being a healer when I play healer, not cosplaying as DPS. I run Brood and Rashok’s trinkets now – partially because they both offer healing over time which is something hpals lack, and partially because they’re both great at buffing the party / raid with vers all over the place.
Plus, since I have less healing outside of AC, stacking all that vers is good for my healing too.
I’m talking m+, raid is whatever ( but seeing some mythic logs would be nice.)
He/she won’t show you because they don’t actually exist.

I found them. Turns out my details was lying to me, I was usually third out of five healers (until I got put on adds healing), but I was never last unless I did an oopsie and died early. I thought I was usually second.
But, to be fair, the lowest geared healer was 10 ilvls higher than me. So I’ll take third.
No, you’re 5th.

And consistently fifth on longer pulls.
You also died to standing in stuff.
I was 5th when I died, which was not every pull.
And yeah that’s literally the first time I’ve stepped foot in mythic Vault, so. I’d expect to die a couple times.
Every single long pull, you were fifth. The short pulls, people don’t really care.
Yeah at the end they’d pop all their raid wide healing cooldowns. I don’t have those as an hpal.
