Because people like it maybe? Hard concept for some people to understand I guess. Just because you don’t care for it means everyone else must not like either? That is the gist of these anti flying, anti lfr threads. I don’t like it, and it ruins the game for me, so you better not like it or else lol. Slowing people down is the devs objective, and that’s it. Has nothing to do with the debunked reasons the forum lurkers like to toss around. For a lot of folks it has to do with them selling mounts in a cash shop that are advertised to fly, and as far as I know they still haven’t added in the fine print that you will not be able to use these cash mounts in current content to fly, or even some old worn out content(wod, legion) until you get exalted with factions that are irrelevant to flight in the first place lol. How did those flight path npc’s get revered, or exalted faster than the rest of us to where they can use flying mounts? I mean we are the heros, and champions of azeroth after all lol. Unknown reasons that we are not meant to understand I guess lol. And maybe, just maybe if those irelevan t mobs on the way to a quest area actually dropped something relevant I might not mind stopping to destroy them. But no when all they drop is some silver, and cppper, and a random green item on occasion they are nothing more than just annoying obstacles, and that’s it.
