Prefer softer features. Since this is classic and everything boxy im less boxy.
I was referred to as female for the entirety of Vanilla while playing a female character, and have been mistaken a few dozens times offline. Gotta roll with the punches at that point. Besides, might as well keep up the tradition for Classic WoW.

Why do people play orcs cows skeletons dwarfs elves trills etc.
Or play warriors rogues priest shammies drooods pallies locks mages.
Answer that and you have your answers some where in there.

Ogres are iconic in warcraft, I and II anyways
And humans are formed from earth and stardust become flesh
So you still cant eat them.
Grass, Grain, Fruit or Vegetable, if you can find one of those running around, after you kill it, fell free to eat it.
And Taurens dont eat dirt anyway, what kind of a Tauren are you?
Because you are not a Cow person, in real life.
You are closer genetically to a human female, even if you are really a human male, than you are to a cow person.
But, because cute. That is why.
I don’t like the way some of the males move. Male human’s run like mouth breathing gimps on steroids, and male Nelfs are just lanky and awkward. That’s pretty much it for me.
I mix it up sometimes, for gear and animations. I never saw the big deal outside, for me (not judging), RP servers
I’m male and mostly, but not only, play female characters. I simply find their movement and casting animations smoother and more enjoyable to look at. In the long run, that’s what counts as you’ll be staring at this character for months or years.

Why do you choose Tauren instead of human mate?
Animations are better. Also they look better. The gear looks better on them.
Yes, playing the game you should be looking at other stuff, not the butt. However, guys playing human female, have you not been smacked by Stitches at least once because you were not watching for it, or at least for the red text in chat? Not saying it’s the butt, but might just be the butt!

I pretend to hate humans when I see them heading to BRD . But I hate my characters voice , it sounds like a male.

Just depends on the race and class for me some of female movement and ability’s just look better, male human is just awful looking, and female cows walk around like someone lost In a store
