Well, they do go out in the daytime. I’ve seen them with their big bunny ears and their cute bunny hop. I think Night Elves were actually descended from bunny rabbits instead of Trolls.

Wouldn’t the night elves also be cut off from the Well of Eternity?

I believe the second Well in Hyjal is still good, even though Nordrassil was damaged severely in the 3rd war and they lost their immortality. Demons went after in in Legion, so it’s still powerful magic. If not, you’d log in one day and see all your night elves turned to high elves

Too many people perceive us Elves as simply pretty (human) people with pointy ears.

I guess you could argue their locations on the planet if you are comparing it to the real world. They are pretty far northeast and the northern countries in Europe and Asia are pretty fair skinned.
