Why do Alliance smack talk to us Horde?

I enjoy night elf culture, but for a good while they’ve acted like purple humans as blizzard hasn’t felt like developing them. That changed in BFA, and i like that they are moving away from the humans a bit and returning to their roots, this is making it very tempting to make a night elf. Even if i don’t level her much until i get an expansion boost (i’m dreading even leveling my current projects who are 50 and 95). copying this rogue onto PTR as a female night elf night warrior was a nice experience, though i’d never replace this blood elf with a night elf, i’d make a new one.

If there was some way i could say screw it and help the Night elves without helping the rest of the Alliance as my current characters i would rush straight for it. Slicing up goblins and undead at darkshore would feel a lot cooler than beating on the local wildlife and natives and burning trees.

as far as dwarves go, i enjoy them but not as much as night elves or pandaren.
I have a low level dwarf I RPed with in stormwind a few times, but never really worked on him.

you forgot about spiketooth, who took over after rehgar earthfury and operates in durotar where horde players help him in his slavery business https://wow.gamepedia.com/Spiketooth

Why is this in General? This is a lore thing.

The OP seems to be forgetting a lot of the lore too otherwise he won’t be making these arguments.

I dont really talk to 12 year olds so i wouldnt know OP

Because 1. alliance are a bunch of white knights: they’re “of the light” and all that bs, 2. Alliance are casuals, majority playing humans and 3. As of rn, slyvannas

Is it wrong that I kind of want to get OP toon drunk and drop him off in front of Stormwind, then sit back and watch the fun unfold? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Alliance have been done a little dirty. I don’t think now is the best time to go poking at them and asking why they are mad and don’t love us.

Hm. Wasn’t there something about orcs coming to Azeroth on a killing spree and trying to conquer… everything? Something about some green stuff… I’m sure this is all totally not relevant to this though. Orcs came to Azeroth and alliance immediately just locked them up. Yup.

Unsure if OP is serious or not, but…

It’s almost as if one of the driving factors for the game’s concept is to get people to play Team Blue or Red and to get them to hate each other team as much as possible, work on the basic instinct of tribalism to drive a wedge in the playerbase, and continue to fuel the engine that is Faction Conflict.

Don’t necessarily think you understand the foundations of the lore of world of warcraft,it’s story archs/lore or the books it is based on.

Even in the books and the lore that doesn’t follow the books perfectly the horde are depicted as the villain ,Because that was the intent of their existence… To create instability and struggle for a richer story. Sorry but this is not real life so there is no need to be so upset. Facts are facts. Horde are the villain faction. They only exist in the game for that very purpose.

Nothing wrong with embracing your purpose either.

The developers have touched on this many times. They have even gone as far as to state that as being one of the reasons we cannot talk with the other faction. We are meant to be enemies. One is a villainous faction and one are a struggling civilization of democracy/diplomacy . Both factions have and will continue to do good and horrible things,But that doesn’t stop eithers intent or existence from being what they are.

P.S

“you’re evil monsters”

Not only do you exist to be evil in the games lore and show small glimmers of humanity to make you more relateable so people will play them, but also you are indeed monsters.

What would you consider undead?
What would you consider a tauren?/goblins etc

Your faction literally has “monsters” as race types.

So yes your intent is to be evil, and your races are indeed monsters.

Drops a mana bomb on top of a town and says ‘We’re not evil guys’…

Humans have been constantly screwed over by non human races. Really the non human races of the Horde.

Well, they kept them in camps instead of killing them outright. That’s one reason why Stromgarde fell out with Lordaeron after the 2nd war. Also keep in mind, Orcs weren’t placed in camps for no reason. At the time they were demon worshiping invaders from another world that were hell bent on the destruction of humanity and Azeroth.

King Wrynn of the 1st war trusted a half orc, see how that turned out. Garithos trusted and elf, and an undead one at that, also see how that turned out.

Not from my perspective, the Jedi are evil.
Oops, wrong game :stuck_out_tongue:

don’t forget… oh opps they goblins was selling his own kind to humans. Slaves exists on both sides. why. got me. it a very evil practice.

Rebellions don’t work that way. If every leader got instantly killed the moment they do one thing that shocks a bunch of people then there would be anarchy in pretty much every country and tyrannical dictators would simply not exist.

People are like sheep - even when they are literally talking cows - in that they will follow their shepherd around no matter what, out of fear, out of respect, out of denial, or even out of stupidity, doesn’t matter. Look how long it took for a rebellion to form for Garrosh, and that was after he literally made two racial leaders fools using them to warn Jaina so she’d call more help in to Theramore just to be nuked. Not to mention countless times in real history where people followed ruthless tyrants for decades before even trying to rebel.

It takes time for rebellions time to form and get off the ground. Many believe they’re alone in their desire to do something, and won’t try to organize a rebellion themselves out of fear of talking to the wrong person and being executed. Sometimes rebellions do start forming but they get crushed instantly. And Sylvanas has already killed off a group of traitors (and loyal subjects who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time), and has threatened to out Baine as a traitor for his regular letters to Anduin, which he has had to stop for fear of his life.

On top of that, Warchief is a very important position of authority for the Horde and without good reason AND support from the vast majority, just killing Sylvanas there would be a fast way to be executed and split the Horde in a huge civil war - right just as Sylvanas has burned down Teldrassil ensuring that the alliance would not rest until they had their pound of flesh and the Horde needs to be united to stand a chance. And it’d be pointless too as the Valkyr would just sacrifice themselves to resurrect her yet again.

And finally to top it all off, Voljin made her Warchief, in front of all the Horde leaders, stating that many would not understand but she needed to be Warchief. He said that with his dying breath. Pretty much everyone in the Horde, let alone Baine himself, greatly respected Voljin, and are simply trying to give Sylvanas a chance just for Voljins sake, and see WHY she needs to be Warchief. And I would dare say that starting a war and burning down Teldrassil pretty much fits the bill for “many will not understand”

Oh please. It’s both sides. I can’t even count the amount of times I’ve been ganked by a horde spamming /lol, /spit, or so and so “makes some weird gestures”. Oh and also been teabagged.

Because you guys are stinky heads.

I’m sure many do it because: 1) they’re an adolescent 2) 30+ with the maturity level of an adolescent 3) have anger issues 4) not all there

To be fair, we were all in middle school once.

Their warchiefs however, do not live forever. Too soon?

Because we can!

Why not dismantle both factions and allow races their independence?
Then my dwarf could join my guild.
