Why did you choose your class and race?

I was originally a Gnome rogue. I chose that because I wanted to dual wield, and i’d never seen gnome as a playable character before. I recently race changed to NE because I just couldn’t stand the armor models on gnomes anymore. They just looked terrible.

I picked a hunter because, at the time, I was new to the game and I was looking for something easy to play when my friends weren’t on. Dwarf because I :hearts: dwarves.

I feel hunters fit within Azeroth because they can fit anywhere. They are instrumental in helping develop a society. We provide food when there’s no grocery store you can go down the street to. As long as we wish to explore, a hunter will be useful.

Also, look at me. I’m a dwarven mountaineer! I’d say that’s a pretty iconic look.

Technically as a shaman, I’m not supposed to be this pretty, shamans are meant to be the outcast Draenei aren’t they?

I have characters of all races and all classes, but my choice to make this character my main for the expansion was because of the burning of Teldrassil (my oldest WoW memory was the screen-shaking thump-thump-thump of an ancient walking past when this character was about 5th level).

<---- Cause of this guy’s smug expression. Couple that with the fact that he looks dang good in most rogue transmogs.

Void Elves in general don’t fit all that well into the lore of Azeroth besides being a former Blood Elf who got really interested in the void, spent some time studying its mysteries, and wound up harnessing void powers for the betterment of the Alliance. Either that or we’ll wind up bringing about the end of Azeroth and the return of the Black Empire, so either way. Rogues tend to operate as covert operatives, so i’m a void wielding covert op working for the Alliance. Yeah…I’m not seeing the correlation…but here goes…

I, Rainz, or at least that's what I called myself after I defected from the Horde, abandoned my people for the Alliance, and decided to dive deep into the mysteries of the Void. Why, you ask? Well it's simple. For starters, I was tired of those smug pricks judging me every time i'd sneak into Silvermoon Cities' noble's quarter. Couldn't help myself really, there were jeweled treasures just left out in the open, ripe for the picking. I had to have a back up plan, especially since my head ultimately wound up on the chopping block. I struck a deal with _something_... not quite mortal. Something ancient and dark, promising me power in exchange for what, control of my mind? A mind, who needs it anyways? Certainly I spent many a night back during the war against the Legion, wasting my mind on a goblet or 12 of arcwine. But ya know, war changes things. We gotta adapt and all. Being a rogue is just in my nature. But becoming one with the Void, well that was fate. And the thing about fate is, you often don't have a choice...

You’re in luck. Since classes are based on your races society, you being pretty is 100% legitimate.

Shaman Draenei are meant to be Broken aren’t they?

The Broken are Draenei who were mutated by fel energy.

Pandaren are awesome, and their heritage / philosophy suits a shaman dang well. In lore they are stormcallers.

There’s an entire questchain dedicated to rooting out Xavius’ corruption on Teldrassil, and it certainly was added in Cata: https://www.wowhead.com/quest=14005/the-vengeance-of-elune

Cause I look badass. Look at how badass I look.

People hate paladins and people hate blood elves. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

/looks up Orkash in the armory.

Damn. You do look badass, which is very important for an orc warrior. Also, I really like your name.

That didn’t Purge the infestation that was inside of the tree. Just what was on the surface. Most likely the roots were also infested.

And with no further lore on that, your conjecture is as much as mine. As far as the quest is concerned, it’s gone. Not that it matters since the tree was torched by the Horde.

Most likely that will be the place we fight the next Old God.

spriest? no fit since they introduced void elves lol

Because I could serve my guild in a variety of roles (tank/heal/dps)

FIve Torches to Light our path? You best get burning Nordrassil too.

I think all five are lit now.
