Why did we get fat humans?

What models exactly aren’t available that have been used in pre-BFA lore? The only human model you can’t play is the skinny male human. Everyone else from Kul Tiras is either using a Stormwind human model or the new part-Drust Kul Tiran model.

You seem to have answered your own question.

And no, “everyone else” from Kul Tiras doesn’t look like they’re about to have a heart attack is they take a flight of stairs. There are plenty of normal sized humans there who did not join the cult of the donut.

Also, the normal vrykul before bfa didn’t look like they got hit with the curse of “extra flab in the gut” by the old gods…so it looks like next patch, Queen Azshara is heralding their return:

with the dreaded curse of diabetes for those who oppose the void!

Again, no one is saying those who want plus sized options can’t have them. Just let people have the options that are already in game for the people.

My question is still there, waiting for your answer.

Not my question.

Still not my question.

Aaaaaaand still not my question either.

What human models that have been “represented in the lore since WC came out” and the ones “represented by major lore characters” are you unable to play as?

…and your answer is still there in your own post, waiting for you to read it!

Cool how the forums work.

That so? Cause the most “lore significant” skinny human male Kul Tiran is Adhara White, and that’s because people in 8.0 were dumb, stood in fire, and expected zero challenge from a world quest rare elite. :upside_down_face:

Well, that’s an obvious falsehood. Perhaps you should start from the beginning…a little game called “orcs vs humans” then come back once you’ve played through. Then you’ll realize how much you’ve missed.

Funny. Every single Kul Tiran NPC in the history of World of Warcraft has used the same model as every Stormwind human until Battle for Azeroth.

Do I really need to ask the question again, or will you just snap haphazardly at me again like you do at everyone else?

Well, you may think being posting that obvious falsehood was funny…but it’s misleading and now you’re trying to dodge.

No need to ask or have the answer re-posted. It’s all waiting for you, back in that post of yours I keep directing you to. The longer you wait, the higher up the thread it’s going to be…

Could the problem of perception be because of limited assetts back in ‘them olden days’ of Orcs vs Humans?

It seems the modern Kul’tirans are a more artistic approach to the concept of seperate Human kingdoms.

Just because you don’t enjoy the models doesn’t mean others don’t.

Not really. We’re talking the early 2000s for when we really started seeing them in earnest (wc3), and keep in mind they had all manner if unity distinction, etc for them. Same for when wow launched. This is retconning the lore for the sake of identity politics.

And yet, they pulled that off for Gilneas without turning them into the krispy kreme brigade.

…and no one is saying you can’t enjoy them. We’d just like the option to play the ones that are already in the game, that are an accurate representation of what is in the lore and history of the game. The work on them is already done, they just need to be made playable.

How fortunate that you’re playing one right now then! Isn’t being human great?

They just gave them a Worgren (wolf) form to make them different from the Stormwind Humans. There was still a massive difference.

Clearly, you have an aversion to reading. Point out anywhere my character indicates it is one of the Kul Tiran models NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE TO PLAYERS!

/facepalm

You do realize that they are not worgen all the time, right?

Not as “massive” as the Kul Tiran retcon…pun intended.

I could see your side’s objections if people were calling for the removal of the krispy kreme sailors…but we’re not. We just want the ones playable that they’ve already done the work on that they literally have to flip a switch to make playable.

…and for some unfathomable reason, your side wants to deny players the right to more character creation options. When the work is already done and it wouldn’t take anything away from you.

Why are people continuing to argue with this numbskull? It is a waste of energy. It seems like it would be more constructive to simply pretend he isn’t posting at you.
I’ve had an argument with him before, and I ended up dropping it because it was giving me a headache.

Please don’t feed the trolls.

Daelin, Derek, Jaina, Catherine. All of them, the most notable examples of a Kul Tiran. However here comes Lady Ashvane, and for some reason the race is modelled after her. It’s almost insulting to people who appreciated Kul Tiras before BFA was ever announced.

No, I don’t discriminate against heavy-weighted people, however this is not what Kul Tirans were or should be.

No one’s saying you can’t…

…we’d just like the opportunity to play the ones already in game. I mean, they’re already running around Kul Tiras, all the work is already done on them. They could literally flip a switch right now and make them playable.

This would be like having two versions of the zandalari: one like the ones we’ve known all of wow…and then one they subbed in last minute for bfa because reasons. Then they only make the substitution model playable while they have the other one running around and interacting with players since launch showing what they could play…but isn’t available because reasons.

As I’ve said before:

Because people overwhelmingly begged for “Vyrkul.”

Those can’t happen, because they are too tall. If they were shrunk to the maximum height for a player character, they’d be “Mini-Vyrkul.” This would not be “very cool.” (HA HA ME.)

So, because of that, Blizzard said, “Hey, they want taller Human types. So how about if they are tough seafaring folk, who are also fat, since we can’t just make taller regular humans.”

Yet they can claim Kultirans have vyrkul ancestry but make them look fat rather than just shrink them down and use such a claim.
