Why did they take away the BFA profession items?

The BS Hammer doesn’t have much impact, but the Alchemy, Tailoring, and Enchanting TotT did break the economy. Alchemy tott increased the proc rate to 75%, so it wasn’t at all profitable without it. Tailoring tott increased the cloth drop rate by 25x and had an appropriate change on prices. Enchanting increased shard and crystal D/E rate.

I think they were an attempt to provide an end game for professions by providing some kind of reward/feedback loop. With gear and ilvl, they just make harder bosses, and can scale difficulty infinitely. But with professions, you’re dealing with drop rates which have diminishing returns. So until they actually start caring enough to develop a true end game for professions and goldmaking that can last through multiple expansions, they have to nullify any improvements from the expansion before.
