You are only lvl 78 and blizz scaling is hitting you hard at this point. Those numbers grow exponentially larger at 80/589 ilvl.
I hope you are not judging the spec at lvl78 lol.
I used it a lot and was parsing 95%+ in heroic raids. Are we talking about the 5 monks who did mythic raids? I can agree that I didn’t use it much in 5 man content but in raids it was the best aoe heal in the game outside of major cooldowns.
I’m 78 on the forums but 80 in game. I’m looking at my in game numbers.
I mean there’s always exceptions to the rule.
When it was first removed there was quite the kerfluffle about it both here and on Reddit, but most high level casters agreed that it wasn’t a huge change for them. Also an awful lot of the top performing builds according to logs and RIO didn’t use it nearly as much.
It was much more of an issue for us Fistweavers.
Not defending the removal of EF (because again, I Fistweave and said removal does NOT sit well with me). Just theorizing based on what I’ve seen and heard.
Also, again, that likely wasn’t the only reason.
Without essence font I’ve been relying on Sheilun’s Gift and the stomp for aoe healing. I really miss font though

Those are still extremely low numbers. You must be doing something wrong.

My vivify hits for 1.1 mil , invig mists is 200k ( on one person ) On a larger amt of people with more ren mists it is a significant amt of healing. Gusts of mists healed for another 500k on top of that. Zen Pulse healed for another 300k on top of that, it will heal significantly more with spread out ren mists.
That is before crits too.
Essence font was pure meter padding and baseline useless in m+. I tried to make it work all DF and it was an uphill battle.
EF being gone is a good thing. The spec and healing still feels great.
Sure hate on essence font being removed but dont act like we are weaker or anything for it being gone. The class is still in a very healthy place and aoe/cleave healing is just as impactful if not stronger in TWW. You cant just press essence font and top charts in normal/heroic anymore.
you are lying about your numbers. you have 15 ilvl more than me and all your spells are doing 3 to 4x the amount? No.
I agree that essence font in m+ wasn’t used that much but it was the best aoe heal in the game in raid.
and which is it? Essence font is an uphill battle barely able to heal anything with it or press one button a top the charts? You are contradicting yourself.
And yes, number wise it will probably all balance out but it does not FEEL as good. It is not as smooth. It is not as fun. That is what matters the most. They took the mist out of mistweaving.

Again, I feel like a distinction needs to be made when you guys are arguing, because EF’s value was significantly different between caster MWs and Fistweavers.
Casters don’t miss it at all. Every Fistweaver I know is annoyed as all hell.
Nope these are easy numbers to get. Just maybe try playing the game and spec properly before judging the numbers when you are still in levelling greens lol.
I am a caster, fistweaving is a joke. Essence font was my favorite spell in the game.
It doesn’t sound like you were to big in the MW monk community because that ability was near universally hated.
and you can use celestial conduit to replace that or zen pulse.
I mean, to each their own. I prefer it and had/have no issue with it in M+ or heroic raid.
They’re wildly different styles and that’s a preference thing, but they’re both equally viable.
It’s still a basic fact that in general, most endgame casters did not use it much; whereas Fistweavers relied heavily upon it. You being an exception is irrelevant.

You look new to the entire class. You have 0 parses. Did you just make that monk 2 weeks ago? I’ve been playing monk at a high level for 10 years. Maybe that’s why i’m so butt hurt about this, because I have an actual connection to my class and spec.

Id suggest looking at your talent tree. Try looking at chi harmony and env mists healing buffs, make sure you use them. You have a long way to go before you can complain TWW healing isnt strong right now. Sure you can be upset about essence font being gone but dont blast the spec or people who can make it work. This is a purely you issue if you cant put out the numbers without essence font padding the meter for you.
