There is an odds of 1/3000 chance of you being hit by lightning. Since the removal of hit as a stat, spells have to hit the target. So to better simulate the odds of taking actual damage from being struck by lightning in the real world, the spell in the game would have to deal next to no damage.
Youāre kidding, right? Iāve been a shaman since vanilla, and have been raiding the entire time. Shaman arenāt bad? We no longer have our utility, we no longer have our buffs, Elemental can no longer work as an emergency healer. They have taken away every aspect that made a good shaman useful, and have given us nothing in return. Shamans leaving the class are not because they no longer deal top damage, because we never did. Theyāre leaving the class because we no longer have that which made us shamans: our ability to pull our weight while boosting our allies. Get your head out of your third point of contact.
Iām calling BS on you a shaman since vanilla unless you got some proof
A good shaman? Did you even raid in vanilla? ⦠When they only shaman they wanted was resto? ⦠Enh was wanted for windfury⦠that was it. Ele⦠again, was not wanted.
The class isnāt bad. I have done this shaman dance since bc/wrath. Classes change. Do I miss totems? Yeah sure. Do I miss the fact people would bring me just for a totem buff rather than the fact I could be useful on my own? No. Mages donāt get brought to raids for just the raid buff. They do well, and they buff. That is my perfect scenario.
But we will never reach a perfect scenario. It is obvious that blizzard moved away from āsupportā dps, and the fact you even think that raiding in vanilla of all places was the best for shaman⦠well. That is your opinion, you are full well to have one, as am I, but insults at the end of your point because you care only about vanilla? Well. Perhaps it is better you are no longer a shaman.
you can call it all you want, and kiss my rear end while you do it. iāve played every class available, and the only three that have really stuck with me are shaman (resto/elem), warlock (affliction), and hunter (MM, survival after the melee change).
Gron: raided as Elem/Resto hybrid in vanilla through wrath, as ranged damage and āoh god healer screwed upā emergency healer. i didnāt go for āprogressive raidingā guilds, as most of the ones i saw were āplay this class, this build, this way, or weāre not interestedā which was of no interest to me. Iāve been inside every raid, as elem, resto, or some mix during their expansions, barring the end of cata, all of MoP, and the first part of WoD. I never said vanilla was the best place for raiding as shaman, so use your words and stop trying to put them into my mouth. Once again, get your head out of your backside, jackass.
Im not sure what your exact problem is resorting to insults against everyone, but I guess some people have just learnt to go full hostile whenever they try to get their point across⦠for some reason.
If you donāt want me to āput words in your mouthā as you put it
This here is your opinion on what a shaman is. I do not agree with you on that. Current shaman isnāt fantastic, most fantasy is gone, but iām working with what I have, trying to get my opinions on how to build and improve the class as it is. If you want to be a slave to others and fully rely on them to be seen as useful, that is I guess another opinion I donāt share with you.
Perhaps instead of constantly being a tool to other people, you should tell us which xpacks where nicer to you and why, I feel as if my recommendation will fall of deaf ears, but someone has to try with you, and speaking for the masses on why the are leaving shaman? ⦠I highly doubt off healing and buffs are the real reason behind that.
