Actually he IS in charge the Deathknights.
Every new Deathknight Swears allegiance to HIM specifically.
The Deathlord is HIS champion. They Do no lead the Ebon Blade, they run it FOR him, everything of note you do is merely acting as a vessel for his power to flow through. They are the Arthas to his Ner’zhul.
However, Bolvar has made ZERO efforts that we know of to increase his powers. (We know the Ebon Blade was cooporating with him during WoD, hunting the Cult of the Damned in Draenor as well as looking for information on Ner’zhul that might give them more insight into how to free Bolvar from eventually becoming a Corrupt Lich King as well) He has what he inherited basically, plus however much strength he gained from making new Death Knights (assuming he kept piece of their souls), and whatever percentage of soul power went to him via the Death Knights and Deathlord’s actions, if any.
Where as Ner’zhul and Arthas both went ham on stealing souls to bolster their powers, since their strength is directly proportional to the amount of souls they’ve stolen. (something Sylvanas also apparently is able to do, through her pact with the Jailer, similar to when Ner’zhul sent Arthas a bunch of extra power to help him fulfill his tasks, albeit she kept that fact hidden about the true extent of what she can do now).
We’ve seen no indications of Bolvar EVER doing that. He’s simply been a minder of the dead. Aside for Crafting his Hammer at some point between Legion and SL (probably made by the Ebon Blade for him after officially rejoining his service during Legion (similar to how they made Shadowmourne for us)).
No? Bolvar convinces the Deathknights to cooperate with him in exchange for raising the Four Horsemen.
Future Deathknights in the pre-Shadowlands intro where they are raised may swear allegiance to Bolvar, but not for long since he immediately loses his crown. And in all likelihood they will also see Mograine as their leader, not Bolvar.
Bolvar is and always was nothing.

Orcs are better than humans. If it was Saurfanf Lich king he would have did greater damage to Slyvanas. Still lost but a much better fight.
The lich king should of been able to cut atleast 1 finger off or break one of her nails. Just like the ‘New Star Wars’ they didnt even have any limbs lost from a lightsaber like the signature of the franchise and weapon. WEAK

Saurfang’s brother Broxigar was super awesome and scratched Sargaras’ big toe one time. Therefore, he’s way super cooler OP than Bolvar.
Also, Horde > Alliance, obviously!

As mentioned before: it seemed as Sylvanas was playing with Saurfang until that scratch, while with Bolvar she used more strict approach.
She is the ambiguous character I’d like to see. We need more like Sylvanas in my opinion.

Never assume you speak for everyone. It’s not a good look.
Simple, Sylvanas got to plan and execute her attack on the fake Lich King without anyone to hamper her. I am glad she is not Warchief, the Horde is worthless. Well, there really is no Horde anymore not is there.
I’m in it for myself, they can rubber stamp whomever they want now. The story is just dumb, and the characters are plain, boring, lackluster… we have no control of the course of the game, they could make a squirrel protector of Azeroth and it would not matter.
There are so many plot holes, and they have destroyed so much of that was cool in the game. Name one character you truly admire so much that you would follow into an Epic battle. If you come up with one, you are forcing it, trying to shore up the pathetic story.
Sourfang cut Sylvanas because the wanted it. Bunch of people sitting around a table with sticky notes trying to SIGMA 6 themself out of a crappy xpac… Pfffft. That is why it happened.
