The problem with Horde enjoying half a year of free AV wins before they finally decided that maybe, just maybe there’s something wrong with a BG that gives a 99% win rate and maybe, just maybe there’s a reason no decent Alliance player is queuing for it knowing that disadvantage- is that it’s far too late.
Even if changes were made now, all the decent Alliance players have already ranked, and if they’re going to pvp for fun they’re going to do it in a premade since… well, I don’t see why Horde find it difficult to understand that a team of players trying to win a match is more fun than a bunch of randoms, half of which are afk.
Lets plug this into a real world scenario, shall we?
It’s the worldwide soccer extravaganza. All players from every corner of the world are invited, and all choose one of two teams. By some freak of statistics, the teams have an identical ratio of players. Team one is called “Bored!” Team two is called “Appliance!”
Bored takes the field and all players are rearing and ready to go, but a large majority of the players on the Appliance team mill about in the bleachers, eating hot dogs, chewing old gum from under the seats, taking naps, and only a small number are on the field and playing their hearts out.
Who is responsible for the Appliance team getting their rear ends kicked in a brutal fashion?
Some like Zyrius suggest that if team Bored would simply stop playing the game as passionately as they do, then more Appliance players would be willing to come down out of the stands and contribute.
Horde were not lying down in the middle of the highway (throwing hissy fits that a blatant exploit was removed), getting repeatedly run over, and complaining to blizzard how unfair it was.
BTW horde wins arent free. Thats a 2 hour wait for that privilege.
In any event, Ive been randomly logging in to check how many bgs are going and it seems the average player ratio of players in WSG/AB to AV is 9 to 1 (8 AVs, 38 ABs 36 WSGs). It will obviously fluctuate here depending on the time of day and day of the week but my findings are pretty similar no matter when I check.
Theres a couple hundred players in AV and a couple thousand in the others. In other words, horde aint doin AV that much either.
Mass dodging left games undermanned for the other Alliance. It’s telling that you consider it a Horde fix and have no thought for those griefed by dodgers.
Alliance are there to provide entertainment to the wow playerbase which is Horde. Repeated neglect has basically killed Alliance off from retail yet Blizz still pretend nothing is wrong.
Calling it a horde fix implies that it’s intention was made for their behalf. It wasn’t. There are other reasons why the Alliance regularly lose.
No, they are not. That wasn’t the point of this reply discussion. I’m sorry that your experience is terrible. It’s not on me though, not sure what you want me to say.
We did group AVs in vanilla all the time why wasn’t it an exploit back then?
The map does favor horde. Alliance does suck at PVP more often but we do not lose AB or WSG 99% of the time. In my experience its about 60/40 horde in the other BGs. AV should be around the same.
It’s not as simple as saying “you helped horde, now help alliance”. One change assisted games starting smoothly, what you suggest is a rebalance of the BG. It’s a completely separate thing and one that could be argued to not have a place in Classic.
