I’ve seen this claim disputed, and also supported. The actual placements of each class definitely reinforces this. The “best” classes are Warriors, Rogues, Mages, and Priests which are the basic core DnD pillars (and dreadfully bland, in my not so humble opinion).
I can’t say for certain myself, since I haven’t done nearly enough research on it.
No sir. I mean there is actual documents. It was on an everquest forum. They were hard core ranting about hybrid class taking over for maint tanking as oppose to him a warrior a real class. It was a rant worthy of the emo rant we get on general discussion when they are super angry. He pretty much promise if he was ever Ever put in charge of a game he wouls stick it to hybrids classes.
So… after a lot of wow dev quit due to blizz selling out to be with a bigger company. They the ion hazzok of blizz was promoted. That was how the last second nerf of paladin came about. The Seal system we had was put in place within the last couple of months. We no longer had a strike like warrios mortal strike. It waa taken away so we can auto attack only.
So it all make sense now. The true battle between horde and alliance is actually to know who should keep the pink color for their faction restricted class.
It will be paladin. Even our idol inZulGurub had to have a caption that saya. " Looks like a little girl." That just goes to show how much td
He class dev and lead were petty. A lot of people could not reconcile the paladin from wc3 to what was in classic retail.
Those Tigole Bitties people were petty, and that level of partiality is gross. They may have destroyed DPS and Tank paladin, but they ultimately failed.
I was going to let you people know the true level of the holy paladin but I need less of y’all around for my sanity. But if you know, you know, and there is NONE other that comes close for PvE and PvP.
Anyone who says “just purge the freedom” should be disregarded and muted. That is just one benefit and you use freedom for x and not y anyway (figure it out).
Being able to survive long enough to win is king in PvP (obviously, right?), more so in vanilla than any other version of the game. And priests fall over to the godlike warriors with only a BRE or spinal reaper, in even rank 13 gear with 5k health, and they continue to scale ridiculously. Resto shaman (if you’re not elemental don’t even Q) and resto druid (flag carrier only or node camper - and travel form with melee leeway lol rip) are jokes in pvp.
To all the people saying Paladin was nerfed from the beta version don’t realize that holy strike had a 10 sec. cooldown (lame I know) and crusader strike did a fixed amount of damage. At that time, they didn’t even have a talent tree. I guarentee they wouldn’t have SoComm if they still had crusader strike as a spammable ability.
Ya, the seal system made them broken OP party support but by themselves were pretty underwhelming if you’ve seen gameplay of them. With the revamp came a lot more support, dps, and tanking capability.
I like that the Warcraft universe has lots of diverse classes, I find heavy armor casters to be really fun. I’m really bored of games that only have 3 classes (warrior/thief/mage) even newer games like Destiny did that and I hated it…
Blame it on selling out. Once your name gets big enough all you have to do is attach your name to a junk car, rebrand it as “art,” and you end up with a lot of cash (actually happens). Instead of making the game better, they wanted to make it something you had to do to be rewarded. Basically taking advantage of the addictive qualities. You don’t play retail for fun, you play because you feel you have to to get that one more thing despite it being only a chore and actually unrewarding.
Paladins don’t get SoC either. They have to pick it up as a talent.
Crusader Strike was reintroduced in TBC in the same way it should have been added all along. Instead of the very odd, limited incapacitate 31 points in a melee DPS talent tree that is worse in every way to Wyvern Sting, which is also garbage.
What really happened is the original idea of Paladin, a spell-warrior melee class based on D&D concepts, got tossed out the window altogether because later developers and players wanted more healers.
You forget they also removed the “bug” that random greens with +holy spell school would drop.
Did they remove +fire/shadow/frost/arcane damage drops?
