thank the meta of only doing enough of a dungeon to get to a boss you want a drop from and leaving after that boss whether it dropped or not. that is why the system is the way it is now.
Can you tell me why is it not an abuse to kick someone who asked something politely only once please?

The system is designed to allow players to have control over who they group with. If the majority (or the entire group in the case 2 or more people were partied up) chooses to remove someone, they can do so for any reason.
Furthermore, you do not know the reason that they removed you. The game does not state it to the player who is removed.

I was about to reply to the OP that I don’t understand it either and then I saw your post.
Because votekicks are driven by a democratic majority vote. You can kick anyone for any reason. Furthermore…
Some limits that exist within the system is that you have to wait 5 minutes (15 if you have kicked another player before) or until a boss has been killed before kicking someone. If you are doing a levelling dungeon, those ones are fast so… what did you do that meant the group wasn’t doing much for 5+ minutes?
These “I got votekicked abused”-stories rarely match how the game actually works in reality. Because what you describe happening is logically unlikely (no, folks don’t en masse kick people for the lulz); it doesn’t match how the game is coded to work; and the most common thing in ALL “I got kicked” stories is that information has been left out.
The OP of this thread received an explanation to their question to which they rejected because they disliked the answer. And you are now arguing “but what constitutes as abusing vote kicking” when the actual answer is that… you can’t abuse vote kicks in WoW. Per definition, they cannot be abused - at least not the way ya’ll keep talking about them.

Still seems like a better idea than just letting people continuously ruin groups’ experience.
Sounds as if you were not keeping up with the group, therefore you were a burden on the group and therefore they kicked you.
This happened because of what Kiyoko and others said, tanks and healers would hold groups hostage by going afk or outright saying they weren’t moving until they were kicked. Then they would instantly requeue into another group. Often times they would keep doing this until they got a “random” dungeon they actually liked and it was a defacto way to exclude dungeons from the random pool they didn’t like to get random rewards without it actually being random. Now the 30 minute penalty is added as a result. Sucks if you eat said penalty but it is what it is.
If you took a wrong turn now you know and can look some stuff up on that dungeon to get better. 99% of the time unless someone does something to deserve it, they will never even see said penalty to start with.
It’s a terrible system. I died in a timewalking dungeon and got kicked while trying to run back to the group. The rest of the group just continued on.
I remember tanks and healers getting Occulus back in Wrath and refusing to do the dungeon and would demand they be kicked to avoid the debuff.
Thank them for it. If they didn’t like they dungeon, they should have had to drop and take the debuff. That and the other players in the group should have stood their ground and refused to bow to these divas wishes.

I saw one kick just a short bit back where the tank is pulling down the house…healer cant keep up, everyones taking damage because this idiot tank cant keep it all controlled…DPS is trying to kite and defend themselves from the crap the tank clown cant hold…healer is getting hit while trying to keep the group alive…

He evidently released and these gumps kicked him on the way back.
I was so disgusted it passed I pulled myself and took the 30 minutes.
