Thing is your opinion isn’t coming off right. I think you’re just responding right now to distract posters. You’re not connecting with anyone right now with this tone.
Yeah this is something he shouldn’t be voicing his opinion on. He’s not understanding the energy here.
I’d guess because nobody’s driving the truck at Blizzard right now, so these green posters get to spew whatever they like, unchallenged, and still carrying the endorsement of the corporation.
Not quit. Just take a break, and reset perspective.
I am telling them this, because it appears to be the only course of action.
They should not be expecting Blizzard to create the game exactly as they see fit.
That is very selfish and will only ruin other people’s time instead.
And realistically, they will still be unhappy some other way.
Taking breaks from things is VERY healthy for long term enjoyment.
I do it all the time, and it absolutely is the reason I still enjoy this game to the level I do.
We’ll still be coming back to the same thing. This is still under Ion’s formula.
I hear you on this, but sometimes even the developers themselves don’t make good stuff for the game hence why they should listen to the consumers. Consumers are the ones who bring in more influence if they product is good.
Something the developers here do on a daily basis.
It can be, but only to return to a disappointment if nothing truly changed for the better.
That’s fine, but don’t be blind on how it effect others and be empathetic about it.
Don’t make this a “the problem is you” thing. You’re basically gaslighting posters in this forum and putting yourself above them.
You got shiny green text to make you look special, but you’re not contributing anything useful. Patronising players with “you should just quit” or “go play Skyrim” or that their “perspective” is somehow wrong… making thinly-veiled accusations of unhealthy play as though you’re some kind of doctor or psychologist who actually knows how to navigate this stuff…
JUST STOP ALREADY.
Take a break yourself. Take a break from infantilising fellow forum posters. Take a break from playing doctor.
Just take a break. At whatever “level” (lol) you choose to.
Exactly, but perhaps that’s what green text purpose is at best. They’re here to gaslight when crisis like this happens. Makes me wonder about a certain green text that got reverted to normal because he or she dislike the concept. I forgot that poster name.
That wasn’t on stream. It was a video I recorded intentionally, and uploaded to youtube to help people learn like I had done dozens of times before and after.
Seems it was not an exploit, just a bug they needed to fix, as no one, including the current casters and participants in the MDI, were actioned or lost any status in the scene.
What I see is leads and managers doubling down on bad decisions they made. To back out a change would be to admit their failures and at this point, enough are stacking up that their jobs are in jeopardy. (I wouldn’t be surprised if some of those are posting excused on this forum, likely in violation of internal policies.)
Ya, that’s the best part about taking a break.
If you return and still aren’t happy, you know the game is no longer for you.
I have been through this a lot in my life, and never be unhappy with the results.
Not regretting buying 6 months of eve time. It can be tedious…but it pays me for my time. Reward tedium and it makes it less tedious is how that works out for me.
We got 5.2 - Isle of Thunder - the best content patch the game’s ever seen, and one of the best raids the game’s ever seen. And then everything went south from 5.3 (barrens experiment that presumably led to world quests) and 5.4 (grind island that led to more grind!)
What do MY problems have to do with anything in this thread?
We’re talking about problems with the GAME.
I repeat: STOP IT. That green is looking more and more like vomit.
Its a problem YOU have with the game, not an objective malfunction with the game or something like that.
Important to recognize that fact.
Everything that upsets you is something that is just a subjective issue you have.
Aside from things like the server crashing or something like that, that is objectively failure of the product.
I chuckle every time I see the rule banning the use of the name of the company when asking the company to make changes. It’s so ridiculous and embararassing everytime it has to be applied. “All voices welcome” is long gone.
If it comes to that it’s not because of the game, but the direction it went meaning the leadership who is in control. GhostCrawler’s run while had its moment was never this suffocating. Ion’s run however shows a lot of players dislike his view on the game and it keeps going downhill. You may try to come off as neutral, but your approach low key is a bit elitism at best.
