You won’t make such posts in classic forums because you know there won’t be anyone there supporting your post and views.
Yup, and as a baby priest your best friend in the game is your wand. Wand skill FTW!
honestly bfa has kinda killed my hype for classic.
We will need your cookies in classic wow Grumbles xD
All that effort and text and not enough effort posting in the correct forum.
I readed, I agree with op.
I dont think any other replys understood or readed the entire post.
Anyway… In the end, who cares? Time will tell, its an experiment
Personally Im not entirely sure if Ill play it.
With classic and everything else, Blizz is going to do what they want, as they do not care what players think, want or like.
Well yeah. The Bender gif with 14 upvotes didn’t clue you in?
It won’t be like we remember, but for different reasons, that all boil down to one thing; we simply know more now than we did back then.
-Folks will know the routes already and leveling will be quicker on average.
-We know what an important role tanking is now and we know that only one class spec is capable of it in Classic. I suspect we’ll see many more prot warriors.
-We know that healers are in extremely high demand and some folks might go that route simply because they know they will be practically worshipped. Just like Clerics in EQ were. I’m even tempted to go that route because I know a female human holy priestess is going to be fighting off group invites with a stick.
-We know that there are a couple options out of many to pick if you want to be a worthy DPSer. Most folks in Vanilla went into their classes not really knowing what to expect, or having a different expectation from what they actually got. (You look at a classic picture of a paladin and it doesn’t really tell you that you’re gonna be a backline healbot at endgame). I suspect Classic will have a far higher population of rogues and mages this time around.
-We know what to expect from bosses. Bosses in Vanilla were infinitely less complicated than bosses in live today and I think they will go down much quicker this time around.
Nothing short of a lobotomy would fix that issue and bring back the true-blue nostalgic classic experience.
But of course! This toon was originally a femdorf until going to Thailand for um… reasons.
(puts out a little tray of cookies for all to enjoy)
Here’s the problem with how you people think, you think we are just wanting classic because we want to relive the experience that we first had playing WoW. This is not the case. This was never the case. We want classic because we know it’s a good game that we can’t play anymore.
Do you replay zelda games because you want to relive the puzzles you saw and relearn the story? Of course not, you already know it. You just want to play the damn game.
Do you order your favorite food at a restaurant because you want to relive the experience of eating it for the first time? No, you order it because you enjoy it for what it is.
I honestly do not understand how this is such a hard thing to grasp for you people.
Just to remind you not all realms are PvP realms because some of us hate PvP. So a lot of this is irrelevant to me because I won’t be playing on those realms.
I wasn’t a child when WoW came out so it isn’t a fond childhood memory to me, I was an adult with a job. But I agree with the larger point that WoW has changed so much it is basically a different game, Playing classic requires almost a different approach to be successful.
It will be interesting to see if the dynamics of a classic server help recreate the old dynamics of classic WoW. I feel along with many others the very “perks” of modern wow helped devolve the community.
Then learn what TL:DR means.
Didn’t read this trash.
I love how all these hyper-geniuses think they’re going to tell us how we just don’t remember Vanilla, this is a new meme I guess.
I probably have more /played in Vanilla than the OP has for all expansions combined. I’m not delusional about what’s I’m getting.
Oh look a one more thread. Throw with the others.
It’s kinda hilarious that the topic starter expects each and every other WoW player being the same age as they are.
They ARE scared. It’s tribalism. Their favored way of play will no longer be ‘number 1’.
It’s for the best though. BFA is pure regression.
Oh, another one of these threads.
In classic I was content to run around, explore, wait an hour for a group, jump off waterfalls, spend 20 minutes to travel to an auction house. Been there, done that.
Classic will be used to make an Alt for 99% that go there. They will still play their other retail toons. Same subscription, same game. Please stop with the “retail is dying” myth.
Yes people will log in to Boralus and then port to SW to check the auction house…
“Ahhh I see this pair of cloth pants that require level 7 are 50,000 gold”
“Hmmm maybe I’ll make a new character”
gets to level 3 before realizing what level 90-120 would be like and the end game that awaits you then logs off
closes the game and opens steam
browses the store and early access sections
“Yep everything is s***”
jumps on discord
“Yo why is there nothing to play… I can’t wait for classic”
