Why Classic has a big draw and what Retail WoW can take from it (Opinion)

Why classic has a big Draw? It hasn’t had all the RPG sucked out of it in the name of QOL.

also nostalgia and people don’t realize what they are getting into. One look at Blizzard’s list of “classic bugs that are not bugs and actually working as intended” is enough to confirm that.

Trust begins at level 20. And yes queues have always been terrible for DPS on FF14.I don’t know which DC you play, but certainly not mine.

No, it doesn’t. Not sure where you are getting your info, but everything from the Fanfests says they are only for Shadowbringers dungeons. Hopefully they will expand at some point, but at launch… that is all they will be for.

I am on Aether DC. I guess it depends what you consider awful. Outside Alliance roulette, even when I queue at odd times (ie I am about to go do my expert at 6:30am) I don’t think I’ve ever waited more than 15 minutes.

" Trusts

Sharing the same name as the system in Final Fantasy XI , the Final Fantasy XIV Trust system will allow players to select certain NPCs to aid them when completing Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers dungeons, eliminating the need for players to wait for queues in order to progress through Main Scenario Quests. The image above, released in Paris, shows Thancred (Gunbreaker), Urianger (Astrologian), and Matoya/Y’shtola (Black Mage) as possible Trusts that we’ll be able to use. The Minfilia that we see in the trailer will also be available as a Trust NPC, however her job remains a secret for now."

Great post OP although getting people on these forums to read anything longer than a sentence is a challenge.

You are wasting your breath here too, these forums are full of negative players that make it their full time job to white knight for the current version of the game.

Any suggestions or criticisms are usually met with the same snarky responses and the same old tired regurgitated responses.

Just take the demand for Classic WoW over the years, so many people just kept posting J Allen Brack’s comments about how “You think you do, but you don’t”

They used this as ammunition to attack people that really were interested in older versions of the game. They would spout all these reasons how this would be bad for WoW and that the developers would ruin the current game if they tried it.

So far they are eating crow and I think the popularity of the beta is showing that the developers and a lot of the current retail players don’t always know what is best for the game.

People need to be more open to change and stop being so GD selfish. This game would have been dead a long time if the older design wasn’t fun to play.

I think the main reason the game is so boring anymore because it doesn’t feel like a MMO. It caters so hard to LFR heroes and the e-sport crowd, but everyone in the middle (the bulk of the veteran players) have been left out in the cold.

I think it is sad that we have to rely on the 14 year old version of the game to actually get to play a community driven MMO again. The developers need to take not of this, that a lot of their QoL features, which the anti-social crowd love to defend, have been so damaging to the game over the years.

Doubtful. I’m personally excited to get the RPG aspects back in the game. Especially having to buy ammo, deal with the dead zone and feeding my pet to keep him happy.
