Dwayne Johnson isnāt typically regarded in the same high esteem as Reeves imho. But thats subjective.
Nicholas Cage won an Oscar in 1996 (Leaving LV), and was nominated again in 2003 (Adaptation).
Keanu Reeves has been in 77+ movies without ever getting a nomination. And as far as āsame characterā. Thats basically Reeves for a movie to be successful.
āOk Keanu. We need you to basically not ever talk. Do not even try to act. And do some action scenesā.

At no point, in the nearly 80 movies Keanu has participated inā¦did a group of people see his acting ability and just be āwell, he should at least be in the conversationā.

Oh I agree he is also over rated. I was just giving him a slight nod in being slightly less over rated due to actually once or twice in his life putting together a good acting performance.
Adaptation is legit a great performance btw. I think he used up all his ability to make that one great movie.
Ive never cringed at a reeve movie. Even bill and ted isnt bad in context
Well, to be honest, āHollywoodā is more interested in box office than acting ability. There are fewer bankable stars who are also great actors than there are lesser-skilled ones who bring in the bucks.
Heās not a bad actor, heās just terrible with money, so he sometimes takes on some awful roles.

Bringing out the Dead was brilliant, as well as his performance.
Thatās fine but his ability in ghostrider kickeass, national treasureā¦ Gone in 60 secondsā¦ Yes a lot of the plots were bad but his line deliveries equally bad
