i do miss the days when one piece wasnt dragon ball z copy and was about the journey for the one piece and pirates.
but still, one piece is the greatest piece of fiction and anyone who disagrees is a boomer
Yeah, I would never call One Piece bad. I’ve been reading it since it released. Loved Bleach, Demon Slayer, Inuyasha, Initial D, Black Clover, etc… the lost goes on for quite a while.
i cant bring myself to read manga so i watch the anime
i finished demon slayer s4 a few days ago and it was amazing. im mad i have to wait 3 years to see the ending though
gotta give it to tolkien’s works i’m afraid, at least, in my opinion
wow, d&d, and countless other fantasy genres wouldn’t even exist without them
prior to lotr/the hobbit (and the silmarillion), fantasy was considered a child’s genre and looked down upon

i enjoyed watching lord of the rings extended editions , my first time watching them 4 years ago.
it was a darn journey from start to finish and the cgi holds up now. especially the balrog
this is probably the most staggering thing to me, is how well the cgi holds up
some movies that’ve come out in the last year can’t even compete

its definitely because prior to the 2010s , cgi was art. and the studios took their time thats why movies took 4 years to make sometimes. now the studios are held in chains by the big corporations, underpaid and made to pump out work after work yearly

Did you try Violet Evergarden? If you have Netflix, there’s a “recollections” that’s most of the best parts of the series. That is the one that made me like anime, be ready to cry.
There are words Violet heard on the battlefield, which she cannot forget. These words were given to her by someone she holds dear, more than anyone else. She does not yet know their meaning. A certain point in time, in the continent of Telesis. The great war which divided the continent into North and South has ended after four years, and the people are welcoming a new generation. Anime isn’t the art style here, it’s more akin to ‘disney.’
The characters in this game aren’t really representative of children, and they go to some lengths to keep too many characters from being children… I hope I don’t have to discuss why.
I am happy with my characters being adults. It’s more… appropriate that way.

Anime is just not the art direction Warcraft uses. The kind of character you wish to make probably works better in FFXIV.

Most races do have at least one young face, they’re just “early 20s” young instead of “literally 12” young.
As for why we can’t look anime, it’s because this isn’t Genshin Impact.

The best anime is the one you grew up with.
With that said, it’s certainly better than the elf arc in SAO.
