Pretty sad. Blizz can take our money but apparently thatās not enough. You need an active account to post here so there shouldnāt be any special requirements to post links, pictures, etcā¦
I know the forums are through a 3rd party but Blizz should have taken that into account.
Forum reputation grinding is certainly like ingame reputation grinding. It is per character rather than account. The forum grind is worse though, because unlike in game, your rep naturally decays, so you are locked in the reputation grind just to maintain it.
Its sort of outrageous all the posts they want you to read cuz I refuse to acknowledge and read those with gnomes, pandas, asmondgold, LGBQRST, high elfves, and any other thing which does not interest or pertain to me playing WoW.
I donāt know if I am even eligible for tl3 but there is no easy way to find out and frankly, im not going to bother making sure i have the correct amount of like ratios and post count. i have better things to worry about.
Not to disrespect those who do have it. I am glad they are able to enjoy those privileges. But i still think maintaining that privelage in this way is silly.
If you just give everyone that privelage the forums might deteriorate into reddit, so thatās probably why the web team have opted for this solution. i just think there might be a better way of making sure people donāt post anything offensive
Like for example, they could whitelist more sites. Like YouTube links or wowhead. If they know the image or link comes from a white listed domain, they can just let people use from those sites and it would get rid of 99% of the problem.
If weāre talking about WoW armor, why am I forbidden from posting a wowhead image of a particular item? Seems counter intuitive, but thatās just my opinion.
Iām in the same position. You get flagged for anything and itās curtains on your reputation. And since there are no CMs in GD, itās purely up to other posters to ruin it.
would it have anything to do with having those fancy thumbnails or do the staff genuinely think some of us simply canāt be trusted with an official wow page?
Blows my mind. I just donāt worry about it anymore. Guess Iām untrustworthy despite being here since day one; having a 6 month sub, owning everything but WC3:R
Iāve seen people with 300 posts and only a 1,000 posts read with TL3. Iām not white knighting enough. Thatās how you get to TL3 and 4ā¦and not posting in GD.
I have TL 3 and I think the system is stupid personally.
They got the system from discourse (I think thatās who it was but could be wrong) and either need permission to change things or arenāt able to change things for some reason. They told us they were ālooking intoā getting ignore function back when this forum launched and that was in November 2018. They also apparently canāt give blues back their avatars for some reason.
Youtube and wowhead are white listed but maybe only certain things on the sites are. I think MMO is too but itās been awhile since someone listed the sites that are so I could be mis-remembering that. They definitely should expand the list to include more WoW related sites though.
LMAO. There is no TL 4 and getting TL 3 has nothing to do with āwhite knightingā.
People donāt have to post that much to get/maintain it. Itās the viewing topics and reading posts that hang up a lot of people. Easy way is just to pick a topic with lots of replies and scroll down through it.
EDIT: You seem to have everything met on your character although I canāt tell if youāve visited 50% of the last 100 days. I think CS may be able to tell you where the problem is.
