Indeed. I just got an update. Downloading now. It’s possible the bug was fixed. Will hop on to test and report back.
Be sure you’re not trying to enchant VELEN, I’ve made that mistake before… he kinda looked like a Light-Forged Draenei afterwards… very very angry goat…

Downloaded the update. It still gives an “item too low level” error.
I can’t enchant vellum, but I can still enchant items themselves. Doesn’t help for alts though 
I haven’t looked, but I would guess enchants on the AH are getting priced through the roof.
I didn’t know this was going on and I went to train Enchanting on my Dracthyr, and am getting this error when I try to enchant anything, so it’s still going on. The only Blizz response has been “we know it’s a thing but there’s no work around or ETA on fix”. As such, enchants (even on my very busy realm) for things like weapons are almost at 3k each, up from 1k yesterday and 8g last week.

Made myself a killing, got 80 for like 2.5k at one point, and I made like 170k off them

Well at least they’re aware of it, but who knows how long it’ll take for a fix. How the hell does this happen in the first place with nobody noticing? It’s not exactly hard to find.
try a workaround. if it hasn’t been removed scribes can make enchanting vellum.
I’m not sure you fully understand the issue. 
They probably just won’t do anything. DF is almost out. We’re not gonna need these anymore. Maybe they’ll fix it later down the line for like SL twinks or something. I dunno.
I’m not expecting anything to happen, at least not soon enough that’ll matter. But, it kinda sucks, cause I can’t replace any of my alt’s gear with the 252 catchups. I’ll actually lose power, not being able to enchant them. I’m not buying these ridiculously priced enchants, or trolling for an Enchanter to help me in trade.
I HAVE max Enchanting. It really irritates me that I can’t do anything with it. 
Cant enchant vellums, cant enchant anything with old world enchants since they buffed ilvl on gear. Dungeons dropping wrong lvl loot dungeons dropping wrong armour type loot…
No work around or fix atm lol.

And today I can’t do it again. 
I can enchant using vellum up to WoD but anything beyond that does not work. So no Legion, BfA or Shadowlands enchants.

With losing China and the Microsoft deal faltering, they just don’t have the staff to work on anything.
I wonder if this is related to how Moonwells no longer work.
I was trying to craft some tailoring items for mogs last night and needed a Moonwell for several. I tried a whole bunch of different ones - the one in Duskwood, in Hyjal, all over Kalimdor, in Terokkar Forest - and none of them let me craft. Was very annoying! xD
The Microsoft deal hasn’t faltered and Blizzard China was a completely different company. Blizz has hired tons of people to work on Dragonflight.
