That beard looks very pasted on.
I think it’s both the lack of mustache, and the lack of the smaller hairs that should be feeding into the thicker parts.
I’ve seen better female dwarf beard pics. But at nearly 5 in the morning I’m far too lazy to look them up right now.

Maybe it is pasted on, like hair extensions, only on the face.

I’m sure the woke crowd here will say “beards are racist”
I don’t know, it might be an issue with the scrunchies.
Because the player’s visions of the playable races does not align with what blizzard wants to implement. Even though the players may have a better sense of why a race have lore reasons to look a certain way. Small indie- multi dollar company
You want an all female race to have beards? i mean more power to you.

Spent too much time next to the sunwell … it burned all their hairs off as they knelt down to get their fix

I would’ve guessed it had to do with being cut off from Moonwells and later the Sunwell, according to lore High Elves and later Blood Elves are shorter and less muscular compared to their Night Elf progenitors due to being cut off from other sources of magic they usually tapped into when exiled over seas, until the HEs discovered the Sunwell. It’s possible that with enough restored magic in their systems the Blood Elves may start growing full fledged facial hair again… we saw what happens when the well is tainted when Kel’thuzad was thrown in in Arthas’ invasion and what happens to Nighborne without a well as well, magic withdrawal has an over all negative effect on Elves in general.
(This would also explain why Blood Elves can grow SOME facial hair, but not really a proper beard, also why Void Elves can grow slightly better facial hair, they’re SURGING with Void energy of their own origination.)
Yes!
This and also full beards. Maybe not dwarf level of beardly-ness, but full
