The original artists work that is being destroyed did envision it the way it was. It’s the new idiots who are ruining the game and the vision that made wrath great.

I was super hardcore no rdf. Reading through everything and listening to both sides it makes more sense to add it now. I think it’ll be implemented later but in my original playthrough I had a ridiculous amount of time to put into the game that I just don’t have anymore. I leveled priest and got a paladin in the works and until going to outland I did almost no dungeons creating groups is insane on lower content. Lots of people don’t use the lfd tool. I think it’s crazy personally the people “I’m not paying or playing if rdf isn’t given at launch” like one feature is the only saving grace of the entire xpac.

I cancelled my sub. Only a couple days left of game time so Blizz has 10 days to change their mind. Im not threatening, begging or anything like that but I just dont want to play the bastardized version of wrath thats coming out. I hope they change their mind but doubt it. Have a nice day.

Actually, in Blizzards eyes, Anti RFD + People who don’t care are in the same category. And from my experience, most people just don’t care. Which makes pro RFD people the minority.

The Whole Marketing concept and what brought so many players back was to play the “classic” versions of the game the way they were when it was released. Blizzard didn’t say hey were bringing the game back at the start and going a different route with it. They said come play the game the way it used to be.

Create whatever strawman you like but there’s classic players that know rdf is bad for the game and don’t want it.
Seems more likely that retail players like a feature that allows them to continue being toxic without consequences and are upset that’s not being added to classic.

Only difference between rdf and no rdf in terms of toxicity is that with rdf the toxicity may start once in the group, whereas without rdf, so with their lfg tool, the toxicity is in the group forming, so people being refused because of their class or spec.

Im fine with no RDF, but then again I wouldn’t care if it was added. As convenient as it is it also takes a lot of life out of the world, especially during the leveling experience with people just sitting in cities queueing instead of running around the world.
However people acting like the LFG tool sucks are silly, it’s literally the current retail tool that works very very well, its the exclusive pugging tool for M+ the main dungeon grinding scenario and id much rather it than a queue especially with their plans to keep dungeons difficult for the full expansion.
Idk, maybe I’m just excited for wrath, if its terrible without it I hope they add RDF, but the transition to current retail was a death by 1000 cuts, not 1 small swoop so I’m eager to see how their vision to maintain a more “classic” feel with Wrath plays out
I don’t agree with the idea rdf kills the world. I’d argue just the opposite because it’s easier to be out in the world doing stuff like questing, professions, while queued since once you get a group you’ll be transported to the dungeon. I know it would encourage me to be out in the world. If I was looking to run the nexus I’d be LESS likely to want to do anything in howling fjord for example, as the run to the dungeon would be huge.

People act like you can solo queue as a DPS and just fire through dungeons while you sit in the major cities. The only way to even do that is to be in a group with a tank and or healer the whole time. Can tanks and healers sit in a city and queue for dungeons to grind?? Yeah people that want to heal to level can actually heal while they level, what a terrible thing for the game. It’s too bad you can’t have someone who wants to heal and specs to heal spending all of their time trying to kill a boar in hellfire while they waste their time trying to form a group.

I mean if you commission a specific painting and the artist decides they want to leave out crucial parts that you’d like to see in the painting then yeah I’d expect you to have issues with that. This goes for both sides. For instance your Cata example, if they didn’t make changes to the talent trees and no one complained I’d assume people were generally happy…
Telling people who want to play Wrath Classic to instead play retail because RDF exists there is a really poor response, no matter what side you sit on. RDF is a very specific thing and Retail is much bigger than that single feature. Do you really think what’s best for the game is for people to not express what they would like changed or added to the game?

He is correct though. RDF was in wrath but retail has LFG. Now the idiots who don’t want retail in classic games are getting the retail LFG tool. Some people just aren’t intelligent enough to speak on the subject.

So with your vision, we shouldn’t have dungeons, professions, mounts, etc. All these things have been passed on to retail, are you suggesting we just delete the game from existence?
