I did what I sought out to do. Prove that there’s no good reason for dual specs to come to TBC.
How do you think you’ve proved that? You didn’t prove that dual spec wouldn’t increase the numbers of tanks and healers and make it easier to find groups. You just very strongly stated your opinion that the effect would be negligible then claimed it was a fact with out any evidence to back up your opinion. Proof requires evidence. Hey, here’s an idea you’ll really like. It’s your type of proof. Try posting it again in all caps and maybe that will turn your opinion into a fact or even a convincing argument.

Dual specs are merely a convenience, TBC wasn’t built or designed around those types of conveniences, TBC already offers respecialization suited to TBC, TBC isn’t broken or lacking without dual specs, the lack of dual specs in TBC is not a mistake or oversight, convenience for convenience sake isnt necessary to play or enjoy TBC etc.
Now of course we’ve been down this road before and while we supposedly got nothing to argue about you’ll tell me this is my opinion but all Im doing is pointing out what you should already know and understand but somehow fail to do so and instead blame me for your ignorance like its my fault you cant handle the truth.
that would be in the best interests of the players imo. That’s my feedback to the devs that they requested players give them. If blizzard decides it would be in the best interests of the players that’s enough of a reason for them to add it.

This discussion will be ongoing until wotlk and dualspec is released. No one cares about your tank and healer shortage for dungeons as logs are the way of tracking population anyway. And that population is not declining at all, having some people try out tank and healer for a week due to the dualspec won’t help you nor others. Numbers will be the same and people will respec to their mainspec a week after.
Well that’s clearly false since the threads asking for dual spec are the longest threads on the forum and the requests gets hundreds of likes. Several hundred people have expressed that they care about the tank and healer shortage and they think dual spec will make it easier to find them.

Also Im a player and my interests differ vastly from yours and I never elected you to lobby for whats best for me on my behalf. Hence my opposition to your request. Now, if you want your own dual spec tbc server then you have my full support but otherwise I wholly disagree with your opinion as is my right.
Sure, if they decide that would be best. Doesn’t look like they agree with that sentiment though. I dont think they’re actively picking a side here but if you did a real critical analysis of dual specs for TBC I would think they would arrive at most of the same conclusions that I have: Its not necessary and thus not a priority and thus not likely to happen for any reason.
Sure, our opinions on what is in the best interests of the players differ and I’m not lobbying for you. I giving the devs the feedback they requested. When there’s a choice between doing what you want and doing what the devs asked for I’ll go with what the devs asked for every time. Anyway players disagreeing is a given. I don’t agree with every change blizzard has made to the game. Some I like, some I don’t. I don’t have a problem with you giving your feed back to the devs even if it’s different than mine. I have a problem when you claim your opinions are facts, when you claim you’re some expert on how the devs think, and when you claim you have the power of prophecy.
I used the facts to shape my opinion and explained how and why I arrived there which is more than I can say for any pro dual spec advocate. Apparently people cant handle “it doesnt look good for dual specs in TBC classic” based on the empirical evidence so they just write it off as baseless speculation and then baselessly speculate on why dual specs are actually somewhat likely if not already planned to go in unbeknownst to us (lol).
I talked about probability and what it looks like when you examine all the relevant data and put 2+2 together. People wanna disagree with that very reasonable assumption and argue and make falsified claims about it then say theyre not arguing or making claims right before they go back to arguing about it with their claims while they hold other people accountable for claims those people never made.
Like I keep saying, there’s nothing anyone can say that raises the status of dual specs from completely optional and unnecessary convenience into a must have feature that TBC desperately needs. As long as thats the case I dont have to see it your way, even a little bit.

/shrug still no dual spec, but hey two major shareholders are suing to stop the buyout so im sure blizzard will get right on that request.
People can handle your guess just fine. They just don’t care that you made a guess. People come here to make a case that it would be in the best interests of the players and to ask blizzard to add it.
I get that those posts are really hard for you to understand but if you read them slowly and carefully a few times I think you’ll see that what I’m saying is no one, not even you, cares about your guesses about the future.
Our point has never been that dual spec is a must have feature the BC desperately needs. Our point has been that you don’t understand what the devs are thinking and misunderstand their reasons for making changes. The devs very clearly said they will be making changes they think are in the best interests of the players. Our point is dual spec will make the game much better for the vast majority of players and we think it’s in the best interests of the players that it be added.

There’s like 1000 posts where people say otherwise. There were a whole bunch of the game is gonna be dead in weeks unless dual specs blah blah blah. They backed off that because all their predictions fell flat on their face.

The truth is both of us are in the dark when it comes to the motives and intentions of the developers but if we had to use common sense and reason and make an educated guess using reality and its facts as a guide its way more likely that dual specs DONT come in vs them coming in.
