imagine if warlocks could tank/self heal like hybrid classes can!

Hybrid heals are meaningless here.
PvP is a tiny part of wow and they do a good job with hybrid healing in PvP for the most part.
And by good job I mean most dps have terrible off heals 
not sure about the other specs but rogue but outlaw’s cc is not spammable by any means. kidney requires combo points and has a cd. blind has a cd. we don’t take gouge, but it has a cd.

A Hybrid is a class than can be multiple Role. It doesn’t mean they ARE multiple roles. A DPS Spec on a hybrid, is a pure DPS spec.

Spam as in it has no real cd.
The point is that you have to sacrifice your damage for the healing/utility that you’re trying to spam.
That’s how they try to balance it…at least that’s what it looks like to me.

Warrior is a class that can DPS or Tank. Does this mean an arms warrior is capable of tanking at any given moment by just throwing on a shield? No. They have to change gear, (assuming they have 2 sets), they’d have to change the talent tree over (Assuming they have one setup with hotbars and cooldowns at the ready).
Just because a class has that option does not mean that they are setup for it. Not to mention the skill and practiced required for the situation.
Do they have the option? Yes. Can they do it? That is entirely up to the player in question.
For instance. I play Druid, I also have a Paladin. My Pally has never been Ret. Not once in all the time I’ve had him (17 years). Sure I have a talent tree named Retribution, but that don’t mean I have the first idea how to play it. My druid is Feral, I don’t have any gear for any other spec. No talents loaded, no hotbars setup.
With this in mind, I do NOT have a tank/healing/ranged dps spec for Druid. My Paladin don’t have a Retribution spec.

I remember the hybrid tax theory back in Vanilla, and it was not a popular idea. Druids, and Palladins were always lacking in DPS and healing roles. I didn’t notice a problem with Shaman or Priest, but i assume that was because the tax mainly applied to classes that had three roles.
i love when people that has actually not a single clue of what they are talking act like they do and then get shown off.

wog is a holy based skill you use it instead of using a dps spell. i can understand using it once to save someone. but sounds like a dps loss and a healer problem.
the other is the hard cast spells.
but if you want to get stuck on someone now knowing the names of a specific skill yet still understanding what is nesesary to have the conversation. thats on you. whatever it takes to get a leg up on the combo i guess lol
