The hot fix applied to the questing bags, still getting only elixirs from dungeon bags.
Making them BoA would be better than BoP since you might not be getting the potion your class uses. Iād be happy for that change.
no1 is asking for boxes to be a money-making machineā¦
Making it more random will not brick an entire profession at least.
Making it more random will, in fact, make it more appealing due to simple fact you can get something really nice, like pet/mount
Could easily be
- x2 Mana or x2 Health pots (not 5 of each)
and 1 of the following categories:
- Dust/shard/Cosmic 1-2
- A few of any of northrend herbs
- Leather or the spider one. Even arctic fur.
But not all of it, and not just 1 profession. Has to be from a larger pool of things.
Then why would a heal and tank that is geared run a place that has no value?
Do you really think a tank/healer would find value in a singular flask?
All it does instead is take away 100-200 gold from alchemist.
If anything, there is more value in ore and enchanting supplies.
That why they should add other incentives like i said
I wouldnāt mind some some abyss gems. Theyāre going to be dirt cheap soon after raids open anyways.
Lack of tanks/heals has always been an issue. Gift boxes are a nice incentive to keep those people queueing. Obviously this could be abused, but the alternative is 80% of players (yes, >=80% of players) not being able to run dungeons because theyāre dps.
So give em whatever they want. Abyss crystals, gems, flasks, anything really. If blizz doesnāt, the players will. Remember how we all had to pay for tanks in tbc? Fun timesā¦
Something i would see working is this.
High chance of boa flask + random x + a exclusive currency to heal tank box.
That currency would be for pets, mounts that are tradable but at a very high cost.
It would give a value x per curency that would grow or lower with the average market.
Interesting. For heroic bags? Was it on a healer? Just curious. Mine have been all tank boxes (warrior) and Iāve never gotten gems but get lots of flasks. Maybe itās a weird role / class RNG bug? Or just straight up crazy RNG.
Iām healer.
Wow. Coincidence? Or maybe thatās nuts that tanks and healers actually get different boxes? Lmao thatād be kinda weird, but at this point it wouldnāt surprise me lol
I get boxes as a healer and all I got was flasks and elixir, besides the rarer herb/ore. Lately havenāt gotten anything but trash food and scrolls though.
nope, tank bags, from heroics
This was not a change needed at all and not part of original WOTLK. After the initial rush when both tanks and healers will be fully geared they will not run dungeonā¦just to get a flask. They will have a stockpile that will last till Mist of Panda.
The only reasonable solution is to remove gift boxes all together! At worse provide some extra gold so Tank/healer will actually get whatever they need using this gold. This will not kill a single profession. That is the beauty of GOLD.
Gold do not have the same value. 1000 might be a decent amount atm but in a few months it will not.
The only way would be to make it on par with other farming methods but it is sadly not posible when you add other people as a variable.
I am glad people are seeing, no solution would work beside just removing it. I personally never had any issue affording pots and flask so far in TBC/Classic as a tank or healer. Tank and Healers have a lot of wealth accumulated over time if they play the game. Welfare epics, I mean pots/flask is not the solution.
Itās definitely a weird spin on encouraging tanks to tank or getting in more healers.
A few mounts, pets (as is) and some coins and an occasional extra badge would have been sufficient.
Though Iām yet to get a single mount ^^ Already seen people getting them.
no you donāt. I have gotten 4 rare gems from 5 world tours. I do not get a flask every heroic itās about every other often 4 goes before seeing one.
The funny thing is that the posters whoāve been ranting and raving about the old Wrath bags, the ones with a blue gem and 9 gold, are now talking about how they arenāt getting enough out of the bags.
Hypocrisy on full display.
