Why no runeforge in Dalaran for example? There is literally a spot called the forge in legion dalaran, just whip it out I’m sure you could runeforge up in there!

I’d go one better.
Give DK’s an ability that makes a temp runeforge, or just scrap the forge all together and let them enchant their weapons on the fly like everyone else.

Realistically I think this makes the most sense. I mean keep the Runeforges in Acherus for people that like the flavor, but honestly in a game where Warlocks don’t need soul shards and Hunters don’t need arrows / bullets, for practicality and QoL, just let people Runeforge wherever.

Down for that, options are best.
I’ve always advocated for more player options - especially convenience and cosmetic.
You’d be amazed though how many people get mad when you say “I think maybe we should have a glyph that actually just removes the Shadowform visual smoke so Shadow Priest transmogs don’t get ruined” or “I think players should be able to play their Evoker in humanoid form if they want” haha.

I’ve always considered spending a minute (max) traveling to acherus and back the superior option to spending a couple thousand g on an enchant, tbh.

Just use Deathgate, return to Ebon hold for repairs and runeforges, then deathgate back to where you were. Its literally like 2 minutes already. Having a mobile runeforge would just kill Ebon Hold and there would be 0 reason to go back there. Path of least resistance and all.
I don’t understand why this complaint keeps coming up on the forums.
It’s literally easier to cast death gate, go to the runeforge, then cast death gate again and return to your location.
Rather than teleporting to town and look for some out of place runeforge area that would have to be built in every city, then having to fly all the way back to where you left off.
Do people not know how Death Gate works?
I’m all for quality of life changes but actually getting to a runeforge is not a big deal for us.
Death gate actually feels more convenient than heading to town because it puts me back where I originally was on a low cd. Hearthing to a major city does not put me back where I was, plus it hearthstones have a noticeably longer cd than death gate.
I think a lot of people dont even know that you can do that, because they introduced in MOP… I myself didnt play WoD so i only learned in legion

MoP was also 13 years ago so that isnt an excuse for people being lazy whiners and not reading their tooltip. Or are you going to say that people dont need to read their tooltips to gain knowledge because I said it?
I like having my own little Death Knight secret fortress.
HOWEVER when player housing is a thing I better have my runeforge dagnabbit

It’d be nice to save 2 loading screens to runeforge something.
This should be a thing for DK houses, criminal if they leave this out.
