If they increased the drop rates, they would have to add a harder lockout than the soft lock in the form of valor cap.
i remember when valor didnt exist at all.
Iāll always remember getting the heroic Sylv leggo bow on my hunter. It was my first time ever downing her on that difficulty on that toon and 8 other hunters were in the group and had been farming at least all season. I won with a 34 (was after they changed fated raids to group loot). Def not the same feeling when buying with the dinars. Kinda felt like buying a pvp piece. Just whatevs.
Got out of my chair for that bow drop though.
I sometimes wonder how many people actually enjoy M+ as opposed to just using it to gear.
Fun fact. The person responsible for making badges in WotLK publically apologized during a CDC, on stage, because he thought the system was so bad.
Iām in no rush to get gear. Iām only 386 ilvl with a 1200 rating, I know this season still has like 4 or 5 months left.
If M+ loot rewards were brought in line with the rest of the gameās activities, weād quickly see how āpopularā M+ really is.
These blizz nerds cry if the game is 100% m+ focused
It would be hard to tell since I assume you are suggesting that there should be a loot lockout. People donāt run raids for āfunā after they can no longer get loot, so why would you expect them to run M+?
This just in, RNG is RNG

People donāt run raids for āfunā after they can no longer get loot
Of course they do. You think people raid for loot?
you know what else is boring? Not getting loot

You think people raid for loot?
Yes. If they ran it for āfunā you would see people doing it multiple times a weekā¦but we donāt. They run it for their chance at loot and then stop.

Boss isnāt there anymore after the first kill. (On Mythic, I mean.)
Plot twist: WoW is literally a gotcha game.
Donāt like the grind? Buy tokens for carries and crafted gear.

Boss isnāt there anymore after the first kill
There are 4 difficulties, so if mythic raiders find it so fun, they have the ability to have more fun than anybody else in the game.
But againā¦they donāt. So they may push heroic for extra gear early in the season and then stop when it no longer helps them.
This game is like Munchhausen syndrome. No matter how bad the treatment folks will rally to defend it because itās all they have and itās sad. There is definitely psychological manipulation going on all over the place that is why many left the game without a thought yet some just cannot break the cycle. I gave up doing anything outside of a few quest now after the group loot and gacha weekly vault of rng disappointment.

But againā¦they donāt. So they may push heroic for extra gear early in the season and then stop when it no longer helps them.
And then they create 3 alts to run the raid over and over. Heck I knew some guys that used to raid in 3 different mythic guilds.

You can get similar or better gear out of raids and PVP. At roughly equivalent levels of difficulty.

after a certain level of M+ thatās exactly what they did.
Iād be willing to bet that number of players is very very small.
Most people do M+ for the gear. I do.

At roughly equivalent levels of difficulty.
Do you really think a +16 is comparable difficulty to a Mythic raid boss?
(Because theyāre not.)
