mostly because they are toxic, unhappy individuals who delight in the unhappiness of others. thats really all there is to it.
so you look at this page, and you see 3-5 unbalanced servers?
just fascinating
pvp servers will never be like vanilla pvp because of the server sizes. itās not realistic to want that at this point. thereās no way itāll happen. even if all servers were magically 50/50. theyād have to make servers 1/4 the size they are to do that. people crying about queue times in what got us into this mess in the first place. i donāt blizzard will make that mistake again. and if people donāt like being camped by 3475938579345 horde at BRM why should they be forced to because some dudes have nostalgia about MUH VANILLA WPVP. this is not vanilla. itās classic.
And if you are. For example, for people who claim that they are going for Rank 14, or some such, then there is no way whatsoever, that a claim like, āI had no idea what to expectā would hold any weight.
Although, it is possible that people have greatly misunderstood or did not believe the information that was available.
Hereās a story from the year I became of age to buy alcohol:
I was with some friends, heading to a party, and we stopped to buy some alcohol. In front of the store, there were a couple (maybe three) high-school aged girls, who asked me if I could buy alcohol for them, as they were clearly not of age.
I told them that it was illegal to do so, and I would not. But, they insisted. So, I told them,
āHereās what Iāll do. Iāll take your money. Iāll go into the store and buy the alcohol that you asked me to buy. Then, Iāll get in that car over there, drive away, and drink it with my friends.ā
They laughed, said, āNo, you wonāt.ā I replied, āYes, I will.ā and they gave me their money.
Paid transfers and pvp to pve transfers were in vanilla, ergo, they WILL be part of classic.
Itās not nostalgia man. I played every since expansion since vanilla. I had fun in every single one of them until they removed PVP servers and added the artificial battleground where you canāt create any rivalries and cantā even chase or run away from your enemies because you will run into a different shard and never see them again ghost town known as warmode.
Is that hard to grasp? Not nostalgia, just want a place to feel threatened and immersed in a world where I can gank and be ganked. Pretty simple.
Are you saying screw players like me, we should deal with dead realms or go back to private servers? That we canāt even have pvp servers on classic?
See, it goes both ways. I can play the PVE transfer whiners game. (not saying youre the pve transfer whiner im sure you can see what im saying)
I understand why they do it. This is a multiplayer game. The other players are part of the content. On your side they add mats to the AH, theyāre people you can recruit for your guild, ect. On the opposing side, theyāre people you can kill in wPvP.
The people who are against transfers are simply hoping that the majority of the people complaining with suck it up and stick around. With BGs coming out soon hopefully they will
I have not done any research into that, whatsoever. And, my questions tend to go unanswered.
Hopefully only for the really imbalanced servers, which Blizz has the actual data.
They clearly did not know what it meant. They donāt have the perspective you have. Letting them leave would actually HELP stabilize the communities cause then everybody whoās there would WANT to be there.
Yeah, help stabilize them into being cemented as horde only PVE servers.
This is a 15 year old game, if the new retailers didnāt know what it meant, they should go back to retail and not sour the experience of those who wanted to come back to this game the way it wasā¦
Or better yet? Screw it, have blizzard officialy name a server as the āoldschool anti QQā server where you can transfer to once but can never transfer off ever again that isnāt subject to any of the concerns raised.
I would be content with just one, ONE server that isnāt going to die in the paid transfer apocalypse if it had to be that way. Iād be cool with putting my hands over my ears and drowning out the silence of you all ruining the game for yourselves.
Iād say once a realm is at 40/60 Alliance-Horde that itās imbalanced. Especially with so many more people on each server compared to vanilla. That ratio equals 50% more Horde than Alliance
And, how are you defining Alliance and Horde?
E.g. Only level 60s who have logged in at least once within the past two weeks.
Iād say it would have to be total characters level 50-60. I think those people are the ones who are most likely in it for the long haul.
Which is why I say Iām for transfers on the handful of realms with 20/80, 30/70 imbalances. Not all of the realms need transfers.
And how often would they have to log in, and for how long to count, or does it matter?
Beats me. But there are 2 unrelated issues:
-
Why is the corporation Blizzard not allowing this. Will Blizzard allow this? If so, why or why not?
-
Why are players in the forums for this or against this? Do players think that Blizzard should allow this?
This isnāt a player-designed game. It never was. Besides, players in the forums are 1% of players, not āall playersā like some pretend.
If even that. Iād also imagine that they represent the most disgruntled of players as well, among the ones who felt so bad about something they had to voice their opinions somewhere.
60/40 is a horrifying imbalance
Is that when Blizzard allows transfers, but no player has ANY idea which servers are different in what ways?
Or is it worse? Shark-nadoes? Grizzly-canes?
