This is what happens when a story isn’t planned out in advance and then gets cut short. I am sure that a 9.3 was planned originally but everything was cut short and the ending accelerated.
Because then we get things like the Jailer. “The culmination of 20 years of Warcraft.”
“You aren’t prepared for what’s to come.” powers down

Anyways, I don’t really care about the story too much, I’m more bothered by Shadowlands being low on content/bad to be honest. Whatever token amount of story “wrap-up” they need to do in 9.2.5, it’s whatever to me.
They need to make 10.0 actually good to re-establish goodwill with the playerbase… give us another Legion or TBC, they need another “blockbuster hit” for WoW to bounce back.
And please STOP with the lame, disconnected space/cosmic/alternate timeline settings for goodness sake 
They need to get back to the basics that made WoW great in the first place: being an “adventurer” in the world rather than a “hero” (especially), medieval-style setttings, kings & queens, swords and bows & arrows, castles, small towns/quest hubs, green forests, big dragons, mysterious caves, scenic vistas, etc etc

If you Google Nathanos Self Insert you should find the reddit mega thread about it. I’m afraid to link it here cause the mods tend to delete and action people who do lol.

Nah. We need more foreshadowing. Big problem with Jailer compared to Sargeras was that he came out of nowhere.
I want them to spend the next two expansions building up to a third. I want a planned trilogy. IMO.
I would imho,keep the story in the background and move on ,hope they remember it and add little bits to give a aha moment ( something they haven’t done).
10.0 needs a good story telling, pre patch event shouldn’t have any lore relevant topics that will be FOMO for future new players, like Burning of Teldrassil was for any new player that missed those questlines… and 10.0 should be like Legion with a big questline and then you’ve subplots for each class that was a good approach, those subplots didn’t impact the main storytelling compared to covenants.

There are few simple answers to this:
Starting from Arbiter, as a role, he does have a purpose in Shadowlands which I’m sure you’re aware. I don’t know how far are you into the campaign, I really don’t want to spoil anything.
As for the rest of the things:
- Danuser doesn’t know how to write and present a narrative and story in video games.
- Cut content. Yes yes, I know that Ion said that this is exactly what they’ve planned but not only it is obvious that it was a big fat lie, other content creators confirmed that there was in fact more content and they’ve seen what has been planned from actual people who work for Blizzard.
- I’m guessing some things will still get answered in 9.2.5

I’m personally hoping that 4ch leak from last month is real lol.
That there’s no prerendered cinematic in SL because they had the entire team working on the 10.0 launch cinematic which is azeroth birth, to mark the beginning of the next chapter.

…bruh ANY story teller and character creator does that. Oh dont get me wrong. Danusers a hack. But I ain’t gonna shame folks just doing silly rp responses for fun. I do that all the dang time on the forums. Altho with me and Rosenivy its because I’ve worked on him for like. Christ 15ish years now. Every now and then my brain just goes into Rosenivy Mode
I think it’s not even that he came out of nowhere. I don’t personally see anything wrong with introducing new characters to the lore.
The problem here is that Zovaal wasn’t developed as a character at all. We didn’t get a proper story, answers about his character, decisions he made, etc. Which again comes down to incredibly poor narrative and story telling.
And I still truly believe that the Jailer was not planned to be the end boss of Shadowlands. There’s a lot missing and we will never find out what the actual cut content was.

IMO, I hope someone at Community Council or Q&A ask them about how they manage to create a story telling for a video game when any delay regarding the gameplay (systems, raids, dungeons…etc) impacts directly how much the player will receive of the story… both are linked.
If the Devs get behind due to systems and other things, then the storytelling will be impacted… this was the expansion to continue with the Drust and that was discarded…

Which leak is that?
Most of the leaks are fake. The only leaks I believe have a shot are Empire of Dragons and unnamed playtest leak with the Sand Troll 5 man.
Agree here, she was a really cool character and gave the broker’s depth of character
