Why are there no r14 in bgs

I thought people liked this game and wanted to PvP cause Vanilla is the best version of World of Warcraft?

Oh wait everyone just wants to pink parse so they can show their family their grand marshal and high warlord tanks on a 20 year old game with a temporary shelf life.

Are the dopamine receptors so dried up that nothing can scratch the itch anymore?

Vanilla is literally flawless man. You can’t point out one single flaw with this perfect specimen of a game. The code for this game should be put on golden discs and flown to every nearby galaxy so that maybe other life forms can be enlightened by its greatness.

Or they will all immediately be stricken with a certain developmental disorder in the womb, I’m not sure how it’ll go just yet.

turns out classic players are the most pathetic bunch of gamers in the history of PvP games. 1-button rotation PvE. riding mount 5 min afk PvP AV. Skill cap reached. brag

because vanilla pvp is actually bad.

nobody will admit it, but it’s not really a fun game and nobody actually likes playing it.

Now that Im Rank 11 and done with the grind, Id like to work on AB/WSG rep.

Just people doing what they were told to do.

I think PvP would be a lot more fun if players actually had to play objectives in order to win. It would incentivize people to actually PVP and not just try to zerg to the end of the match.

I also believe finding some way for players to be able to opt-out of BG queues with premade would encourage more participation and feel more “fair”. I do NOT mean to completely separate premade queues from everyone else – rather an option to choose whether you possibly play against premade or not. This could be achieved with a Random queue that gives you either AB or WSG, where it’s only possible to queue up solo or as a 2-man party max, and has an extra honor reward ONCE daily.

Lol you didn’t actually think people playing bgs did it for fun?

It’s all PVE players doing it for the rewards. Once they have the rewards there is no reason for them to continue. Once the PvE rewards are easier and more plentiful, pvp dies. See Wrath/Cata classic pvp scene

PVP Servers are just pve players playing there because all the best pve guilds are there.

The best pve guilds are there because its easier to recruit people there.

PVP is just a minigame within the pve centered game that wow has become.

Vanilla pvp is very slow and lame. 90% of it is just who’s the biggest loser who full consumes then one shots u. It’s like 2 snails walking at each other just one used consumes and world buffs to become a human and step on the other.

Only people that care about parses now weren’t good enough to get them in 2019. No one cares about 2025 anni parses :joy:

Anniversary is a TBC and Arena waiting room regardless of what some posters here desperately want to believe.

literally this :expressionless: god bless vanilla (but not SoD, anniversary, or anything other than era, the closest approximation we have to the sacred vanilla).

It is and always was about the gear for most people who did it, old system or new.

Pvping in bgs is frowned upon by those still ranking and can result in bans. Why risk it?

Omg i love your name. I can make my booty clap too. Really loud, it echoes in my house.

Even with the honor system changes people still call it an honor “grind”. There is a reason they use that language. In order to rank up, you have to force yourself to pvp longer than you would typically want to. People don’t play AV for 10 straight hours because they are having the time of their life, they are doing it because they need the honor.

Once they have their gear they are free to pvp only when they want to, and THEY DO! I see rank 14’s all the time, but no they are not grinding bg’s all day long. They don’t have to.

so whats the point of grinding r14 if you plan to never step in a BG ever again? just for some pink parses on a website that has no relationship with Blizzard?

For perhaps a majority of those who did the grind.

Yes.

The only reason bgs were/are popular is so people can get the rewards to improve their power for raiding. Once they have those rewards, the bg means nothing to them.

Maybe 1 in 10 people you see get r14 will actually return to the bgs for fun.
