I very very very seldom run into toxicity in dungeons outside of M+ (and even then it’s not as ubiquitous as some claim IME) and the few times I have it’s been shut down by the other party members fairly quickly. There’s so little at stake there isn’t much reason to be toxic in the first place.

I see most of the toxicity on the forums and in chats such as general or trade, to be honest. But I think that’s just because it’s a troll’s playground.

Honestly, this is massively more toxic :

Dark Knight : “Hey, RosaQT44, if you want this weekend, we could take a few minutes together, and I can go over some tips I have that would help you cast the proper healing spells to not let the tank die”

White Mage : “Oh EdgeyBoi21, that’s pretty nice of you. It will be a great time to go over what possible defensive cooldowns you can use to keep yourself alive in case the healer is busy helping out the Ninja with some health bar issues”.

But that’s what you guys keep asking Blizzard to give us. I much prefer :

Death Knight : “Heals you sux, reroll” Death Knight leaves key

Priest : “That DK sucked anyway, he didn’t even use Vampiric Blood once, and I don’t think he ever had over 2 Bone shield charges the whole run”.

Feels much sweeter to my ears.

The game is generally more positive the higher up in difficulty you go, despite what some forum dwellers might claim otherwise.

Its mostly 2K + io players and CE players thinking they are better than others

If there was an award for Miss Congeniality in game, I would have that crown, the sash, the plaque, the key to the city, etc.

I am also known to be astoundingly humble.

People do like to assign this behavior to a group of players they are not in. They make them into “Escape Goats” if you will.

I find it’s players who take game too seriously. That happens all levels of play.

I’ve received plenty of toxic hate on these forums for making silly analogies. This is serious business.

yep, very few if any CE players I’ve interacted with talk. no one worth their salt is toxic. CE players / high m+ players are literally not the problem. this is 100% a forums echo chamber.

the guy that just got unlucky chain failing runs due to bad healers on a grievous week could be a lil more on edge compared to the guy that just logged in fresh for a new session :wink: it is what it is.

dont take it to heart and move on everything will be fine.

You’re gonna be really confused when you realize how little CE players / high m+ players talk. This is just a classic GD statement, that high level players are the problem when literally nobody talks in my keys. you’re lucky to get a “gg” at the end of the dungeon.
