People are sick of randoms depleting their keys.
So when it’s you vs. a 255 DPS, who now have a reason to do even low level mythics, you’re gonna lose out 99.99% of the time.

If you can’t fill your own key in 10 minutes, you’re being too picky.
Or you’re not getting tanks/healers to sign up.
At least buy some of the 226 gear from ZM. It cost next to nothing.
Trying to get into anything with sub 226 iLvl and you’re going to get passed over for almost everyone that’s put in that basic level of effort.
This is literally the answer to 99% of the “why don’t I get invited to M+” complaints.
Despite what the game tells you, you’re not special and that means you either gotta make friends with a tank or healer (or play one yourself if you’re a hybrid), or play the numbers game.

The nature of M+ is that it’s competitive and selective. If there are 50 DPS applicants, I have to select three, and I have no obligation to invite you, especially if there are 10 better applicants.

They debunked this the other day. The guy that said it took 40 minutes and couldn’t fill his zero was shown streams from that day of people filling a 0 in like 7-8 minutes. Don’t believe 70% of the things you read on this forum.

I’ve taken 30+ minutes to fill groups, and I am not picky. I try to be inclusive and invite people on a first-come first-serve basis.
Folks in that thread were trying to discredit the OP because he was trying to run a plaguefall 0 and no one wants to run that apparently. So the folks who actually do are screwed. No one signing up for a group you list can absolutely happen.
This game is not kind to you if you aren’t a champion player with a glowing ilvl, swimming in connections and have a good guild.

These stories would be more believable if you’d pick numbers that weren’t so outrageous. No key takes 30+ minutes to fill. You guys always do this. You go one step too far and then we know that isn’t true. Less is more when talking about these fictions.

You can believe me or not, I don’t really care. It definitely can and has happened though.
Unless you’re willing to take the time to look it up you shouldn’t believe hardly anything on these forums.
Or anything people say for that matter. Well intention or not people get things wrong all the time

I think my DK is about 234. I tanked a +2 HoA and the bears were clobbering me. I know they’re dangerous, but they weren’t this dangerous in 9.1.5.
I did a +0 DoS and it just took forever. We were ok on damage, but…just a slow group or something. Everything was just dragging.
So, yea, M+ are harder right now, so if you’re in the 230s, probably should just “start over” at the bottom.
+2 is giving 252 in the vault.
8/10 times I’d be willing to bet it’s just the overabundance of DPS applying.
the other times it’s tryhards that think running meta specs is the only way to play the game.
Mate, I have been in groups with 4 of 5 slots filled sitting at the dungeon entrance waiting on a tank for literally 45 minutes before (and not because they were passing up tanks they didn’t want).
Making your own group is still your best bet if you’re behind the curve on gear, but it doesn’t necessarily take any less time, just changes the reason it takes so long.
Of course what time you play makes a huge difference as well.
Not for low keys. I finally did get a +2 and acquired my own keystone which was a +2 plaguefall. So made my own group and took the first people who applied which involved 2 dps shaman, a healer shaman, and a monk tank. Tank and heals had 228 ilvl and the dps were 236 and 238. Finished with +3 with no deaths.
Not difficult stuff. So anyways ilvl is not waaaay too low for low end keys. I have been trying to upgrade but just keep getting repeats of the same gear in ZM. Gold from the world boss both weeks and 3 m+ since the season started with no usable gear.
Probably a combo of more people looking for keys, so there’s more competition for slots, plus they see someone with a lower ilvl than you can get basically for free in ZM (226) (assuming you’re trying to play this paladin).
