Why are players quitting after stocks?

I dunno, I usually have an ok time of finding groups. RFD/RFK can be a bit of a challenge and maybe SFK too, though people usually want the loot out of them. It really helps to play a class that can either tank or heal though. Just pick some appropriate hybrid spec for your leveling journey and be willing to both play multiple roles, and form groups.

Actually in a lot of cases you don’t even need a hybrid spec. Warriors tank just fine as arms/fury as long as they bring a shield for heavy pulls.

Absolute worst case I’ve had to do a /who for my level range and whisper people. A lot of folks have general/LFG turned off, but it’s usually not that bad.

are you very adverse to questing? mid 20’s questing is superb for alliance between duskwood and wetlands, and early 30’s STV/SS give dolla dolla.

If that is really really off the menu, GY spam from 28 as a healer is easily doable

not at all[in Classic]!

Cool, I’ll check it out!

You can try to get BFD rolling to get to 28 and then dive into SM GY farming. Some groups might let you roll in a little lower than that. If your tank isn’t absolute garbage you can then heal Library and Armory as early as 30. We had a 29 healer with us in both with a 38 Paladin and it went fine.

In the current version of vanilla there are tons of quests - if you don’t have questie the addon I greatly recommend it.

Just look for quest hotspots on world map, and go venture towards them

For each level block (1-5, 6-10, 11-15, …) there are at least 2 areas for each faction which have enough quests to get you through it. So there are at least 2x the quests required to level simply by questing.

In the late 40s and early 50s it can sometimes feel like there is a drought, but I assure you that there are quests they are simply far more spread out and less convenient. (i.e. kill 3 things on the other side of the world and come back to me for reward)
