Why are Pet Battle WQs so overtuned?

The worst thing about the Shadowlands pet trainers is the family callings achievement, and the huge differences in the difficulty between trainers. On one hand you have ones like Addius the Tormentor in Revendreth who is the easiest of the lot. Then there’s ones like Fareyl in Ardenweald that are utterly ridiculous. I probably attempted some of the family ones 30+ times due to the RNGness of his team, and that’s following the top rated comments on wowhead. I’ve seen all 5 moth ball attacks hit with many of them crits, meaning my first pet can literally only get 1 attack off before being killed. I’ve had my pets die in 2 or 3 turns that are resistant to the attacks. Having to look up and follow very specific rosters and attacks really isn’t fun.

Then there’s the stag on Glitterdust’s team. One of his attacks has a 50% chance of making you lose your turn, and another has a 25% chance of stunning you. And unless you have an S/S flyer on your team, he’s always going first. I’ve had entire attempts where I can’t get a single attack off on him.

This is in contrast to pet battles in past expansions, where I look at the enemy team and can come up with a plan on my own.
