TLDR but sounds like many cashed in gold for bnet monies in a lot of cases. I like mine 
At least with old brutos it was more of an achievement because you made the money for it. This is just a way to show off you are bad with money and have no shame.
How does this suggest anyone is bad with money or has no shame?
I think the reason people are up in arms about it is not because its a one time payment for a ah mount its whats to come. This is simply microsoft testing the waters of what they can get away with and how the fanbase would react.

Because they are selling convenience items in a game that already charges a subscription fee and $50 base for each expansion.
This update came with a large number of bugs, issues, and balance mess ups. So it seems like Blizz takes in all that money, but doesn’t use it to improve the game quality. Instead they charge almost more than 2 expansions worth for a convenience item.
I don’t mind companies trying to make money as long as it feels like it’s directly translated into a more fun and better quality game experience. That’s not the case here.
And this is different than the original store mounts how? For what it’s worth in 2010 when the first in store mount was released 25$ on 2010 is now 35$ with inflation. Would a 35$mount today ruffle feathers? It is the cost of an expansion almost
I would NOT pay 90 dollars for a mount. 90 for an expansion set probably with some nice goodies. But a mount that allows you to access the auction house from anywhere? No thanks. I can just portal to a city and access the ah
100% agree. If your play style isnt made better by having a mobile AH/mailbox…its not worth the gold or the money.
I mean… I farm the old raids for stuff ima looking for transmogs, mounts etc and its nice to leave raid, auction my stuff, check mail or mail stuff. Pop my mammoth and repair and sell stuff then back in or off to something else in zone. I don’t have to go to town unless i’m doing dailies, weeklies or chillin.
Is it really corporate greed? people say reg mounts are cheaper but… what about if you bought 4? You still gave them money.
OK… unless like many that are gold rich, just traded off gold for BNET cash.

uhh…Im a farmer who hits the AH and mailbox all day long …this mount very much translates into more fun and a better quality game experience for me. Been using the hell out of it since I bought it. Literally on it right now lol

Understandable. But considering it’s going to be available until January, folks have plenty of time to even casually farm up gold to buy it with in game money vs IRL cash. Just a matter of whether they want it “RIGHT NOW” or not.
Heck, just buy one token at a time as you farm up until you have the 6-7 needed to cover the cost+taxes depending on your location.
But yeah either way this patch has a lot of serious major problems. The Brut being added isn’t one of them imho.

Funny thing is that the best gold making/saving feature of the garrison was never even the AH. It’s the level 2 blacksmith+assigned follower. 4 hour repeatable “free” buff for 0 repair bills so long as I don’t die has saved me literally millions of gold over the years

And you just know some want it but wont start farming gold and the last week is gonna be a madhouse of screeching because they procrastinated lol.
Bliz needs to stop doing this crap of putting this kind of pressure on.
This is a great mount…put the damned thing in the store and stop playing mind games. let people earn or buy it at THEIR pace…not according to blizzard monthy profit margins.
I wouldn’t call a 3 month heads up “putting pressure on”. And if folks chose to procrastinate, that’s 50000% on them for waiting when they had 3 months of heads up, not on Blizz at all. Especially for something that’s just QoL and has no impact on actual game content or capability.
It does seem like an odd choice to not just leave it in the store, but still 3-4 months is more than enough time for folks who don’t want to drop IRL cash to easily farm up the gold for the tokens required to buy it with in-game currency. Even just casually farming gold.
for most of the base, maybe…but there are some I think might need longer than that to get that much gold together.
I just think this time limit for something like this is borderline sadism when they have to know not everyone has 90 bucks to toss at this …and might not know how to efficiently farm enough to make 1.5 million or so.

obviously this is a WANT, not a NEED…so its not gonna ruin lives if someone doesnt get it.
I just personally would like to see EVERYONE get it who does want it.

because they have no/low impulse control and cant help themselves but spend money ont eh shiney, they then blame blizzard for their own poor decision making, as if they are not the ones making the decision themselves.
Or they are simply karens freaking out about what everybody else got, because they dont want to buy it and somehow feel owed it themselves without having to buy it.
