Is there a reason why shaman’s elementals have been shrunk so much while other class pets have barely been touched? I’m talking about what other players see.
I went up against an enemy shaman in a bg just recently, and I almost did not notice his earth elemental because it was so darn small, almost the size of some companion pet, and it looked ridiculous.
I get that it’s probably done to reduce visual clutter, but that’s not longer a fair argument when you consider demo and unholy’s pet army, or the fact that other specs got a few more pets to summon this expansion, and more regularly, but their size remain the same. So why nerf shaman pets only?
Part of playing elemental is the fantasy of summoning these massive forces of nature and having others see them in action, but their small size makes them look really boring and insignificant. If I’m popping a major CD that summons a pet, then it should look cool, like the infernal, and not like I’m summoning a companion pet in combat.
I know this change was introduced in early DF, but I think it’s time it was reverted, or at least slightly changed. The elementals are far too lame as they are now…
