Don’t think of them as deformed Humans. Think of them as especially attractive Trolls.

Because that’s what they are, honestly.

Still with the man hands.

I disagree. I have 3 Night Elves, then 2 Nightborne.
I absolutely despise their dance; it makes them look like they belong in a brothel. Ugh.

Too bad WoW is so old we can never get models that look like that. Only in my WoW 2 dreams.

Well at least we don’t have face tentacles…
or green eyes which typically indicate demonic corruption…
(but we can have black eyes to match our blackened hearts after seeing Blizzard butcher beloved characters…)

In all seriousness I expect the proportions of the hands may have something to do with the modeling and animation? Just a guess. But blood elf females are fairly slender. Why didn’t they address it when they redid the models? I don’t know. Maybe that’s just the way they ended up in vanilla and they more or less carried the original design forward merely opting to improve the mesh?

If you look at official art though? It’s quite different.

Well considering the Nelf dance was based on a french pop singer vs. the blood elves being based on Britney Spears… XD. I would take the nelves over Britney Spears. Opinions :).

Reason I don’t play a Male nelf is because of the dance being based off of Michael Jackson.

Yeah… I’d much rather play a night elf than a cracked out arcane and light junkie.

Before I even clicked on this I said to myself, “I bet this person is from Wyrmrest Accord.” What a surprise.

I could say the same thing for blood elf males.

The waists do need fixing for males. I can’t bring myself to mog a shirt/pants combo because it’s looks ridiculous. And I would like to wear something other than a gown.

“man hands”

Their proportionately large hands actually drew me to the race over the tiny-handed human females who hold inordinately huge weapons in their petite little grabbers.
(And if you’d bother to look, female belves have bigger hands than humans, too.)

They have a strong stance and the general feel of a “warrior woman” (except when they /clap or /cheer, or start doing their idle heel bounce animation).

I’m kinda with you on nelf men, though. They look very little how they’re depicted in art and have huge forearms. WoW’s wild sexual dimorphism strikes again.

The female Night Elves are so pretty in the face though… and their shoulders and arms and upper bodies are so nice. That rear end is shaped nice too. And the little bounce they do is Gnome level adorbs it’s so cute. In light of all this, I can look over the hands.

Male Night Elves… well… they take a little more imagination to appreciate. I like a lot of the art people do for Night Elves.

Well said.

Outdated game and lack of “motivation” to make Night Elf models interesting. If properly given a good model they’ll 100% outdo Blood Elves.

Since Blood Elf models had some extra months of development compared to other races, they should look better. (but they don’t)

It took an entire expansion just for Night Elf females to get eye lashes/animation fixes in Legion and I bet it was only because of Demon Hunters.

See guild name, that’s all that matters.

I couldn’t care less about where the dance came from.

All I know is Blood Elf = Quirky and Happy, then Night Elf = Goldshire

Is ice coffee a new hipster thing? I only know iced coffee?

Sips on my iced coffee while typing this out

I don’t like hot beverages so I’ve always had it cold - even back decades ago before the Bucks of Stars.
