So now we have a TON of low level players who just sit at the spawn site and wait until somebody who’s dumped 50 points into unlocking the summon so they can 100% the elusive beast fang? How is that fair to us that chose to get less from skinning so we could summon the rare, just so some unleveled leeches camp and legit makes my item worth far less? This is terrible design.
they never used to be able to skin those elusive creatures and I agree they shouldn’t be able to now
Oh dang you can do that? Thanks for the heads up, gonna go park my skinners there.
So it wouldn’t become a gold farm.
And it’s technically not rare.
The point of the mat is not to sell it on the AH. The point of the mat is for leatherworkers to make the gear at markup with the 100% drop-rate mat.
They could do it in DF. Every day I’d go to do my daily skinning and there would be a fleet or low level bots just hovering around the area waiting…
And yes this should be fixed. Skinning is already not great as far as gold making concerns compared to other professions unless you’re a bot, the 1 limited thing that we have access to that actually does have a lot of value can just be picked up by any rank 1 skinner lol
excuse me that is the entire point of professions
I tried it to someone and I couldn’t skin it
No, you’re focusing on the short term. The gold is not in the rare, one-off mats but the quality of the mats themselves. You will simply make more gold by selling three tier Leather and Chitin than you would selling the pseudo-rare mat that has a 100% drop rate.
Make sure you have the current expansion trained, you can’t skin it and have a chance at the rare mat unless you are trained for the current xpac. Also, don’t do that lol
People put their points into that tree to make gold from it instead of putting their points elsewhere to get R3 mats. They are entitled to exclusive use of that mob.
I’m not saying you can’t do that. Just that you shouldn’t do that.![]()
And that is their error in judgment. There’s no gold in something that has a 100% drop rate, even if its selective.
I was trained and I never bothered trying again but I was wondering why the guy was totally happy just to let me kill it - he skinned it and I couldn’t which is how it should work for that fang.
omg - with people like you running around of course it is a bad idea. You are probably out there leeching all day.
Why would I leech something that’s worth nothing? If the ‘rare’ mat is accessible to anyone, it has no value.
are you okay? this thread would not exist if it was worth ‘nothing’
idk it worked for everyone else.
Also I misread one of your previous messages so deleted my responses, sorry for the confusion!
Entitled player who doesn’t understand economics is whining about their decisions. Sounds like a trip to the forums.
That’s dumb. Blizzard should make it so you need the maxed out tree to loot the item, in addition to needing it to make the lure.
It may be because he was in a skinning group. Maybe that is what OP needs to do make a party.
I read something the other day about that - I wonder if I can find it
