Heroic dungeons in BFA have only one purpose now - get enough gear to get to 320 ilvl so you can do LFR and Warfronts.
As for Mythic+, I stopped trying to do them altogether after the first few weeks when I realized they are now just an alternative to heroic/mythic raiding for people with a smaller circle of friends.
